The nose is full of fresh agave and a vegetal note akin to sage. There’s some wet minerals and a hint of citrus zest oil. The nose is very clean and fragrant. It’s very pleasant. Once I take a sip I taste the agave up front. It’s very present. That sage note from the nose is present on the palate. It’s vegetal but fresh like rosemary. That minerality hits just before the vegetal pepper notes that has a medium level of heat. There’s some faint sweetness from the cooked agave but mostly this tequila is fresh agave which I really appreciate. The finish is mildly peppery. Overall this 80proof Blanco is very nice and clean. It’s full of shave and pleasantly vegetal with a medium peppery finish. It’s a solid sipper and I’m sure it would hold up in an agave cocktails. If you have access to PM Spirits Tequila buy it! You won’t regret it. Salud!
It was ok, the smell was a little peppery, malolactic and alcohol. The flavor was predominantly agave but otherwise flat. Not horrible but not impressive either.
The aroma and flavor are very reminiscent of Mijenta blanco. Fruity notes, but are a bit too bubblegum like for me. USD60 for 700ml, so it gets a 6 instead of a 7 for value.
Nose: some cooked agave, citrus, lime, spice, and light anise Flavor: cooked agave, black pepper, citrus and minerals Finish: medium, slight sweetness then moves to black pepper
Agave, wet stone, anise, celery. The still strength is my strong preference.
Nice agave on the nose, easy subtle palate. Some pepper on the finish. A nice finish. Definitely love the HP more
What a great high proof blanco, agave forward, manageable heat, white pepper and citrus. Great finish

My scores- 40%abv= 85... but the 110pr= 91
Vegetal on the nose… clean, some hay ….. slight burn, black pepper, on the mouth with some natural sweetness, cooked agave …. Light and fruity… citrus….. very complex
Lalo has been my go to recommendation for friends & family who are looking for a reasonably priced, quality made tequila. No, it is not the best tequila on the market, nor is it the most budget friendly option. For me, Lalo stands above the rest because it hits the sweet spot of accessibility for the novice tequila drinker and availability in most stores. I came into this new expression from Grupo Tequilero with this in mind. The nose on PM Blanco gave me little to go off of. Muted citrus and pepper to be found with subtle vegetal notes. The palate was better with cooked agave, citrus, pepper, minerality, brine and vegetal notes. The finish was lengthy, with a thinner viscosity and slightly bitter. I came into this expression hoping to find the strengths that Lalo solidified, with a more premier feel to justify the higher price PM Blanco demands. Unfortunately, I was let down. Yes, PM Blanco is a decent offering from 1468, but it pales in comparison to its sister brand.
It has a honey like note to it with peppery citrus hint very delicious and amazing spirit one of the best ones I've tasted in a while right up there with fortaleza and el Tesoro. Just amazing all around.
This has more cooked agave flavor than any other tequila I've tried.
Horno 2202-02 Tasted in a paper cup in a hotel room. So you know grain of salt. Mint. Cooked agave and slightly vegetal Taste cooked agave. Slightly floral Finish. Bit of pepper that lingers for awhile Not as good as the first lot but need to find a real glass
I’m getting grassy notes on the nose with a little agave as well. Veeeeeeeeery smooth agave flavor. Some vegetal notes as well, but agave leads the show with some orange and a touch of vanilla mixed in there. A nice burn on the finish, which lingers for the perfect length. Super solid tequila all around.
Love that fresh cut grass (vegetal) quality to this blanco. Its aroma and flavor profile is different than other high quality Blancos. Super minerality. Slight citrus notes. Pure agave goodness. A winner in my book.
A balanced aroma (light citrus/vegetal/agave) leads into mild cooked agave with a hint of lime. The finish is smooth agave with a late pepper. I also appreciate the clarity of the tequila (crystal clear) and the perfect mouthfeel balance (not to oily or watery). This also has some “legs” in the glass. This helps to create a nice overall experience. I found this at Total Wine. A wonderful product.
Truly LALO on the nose and palate. The only distinguishing element "on paper" is that the liquid in this glass came from a single horno (stone/brick oven). Sweet and full-flavored, plenty of complexity from the agave which has been left unadulterated by additives or oak. My only point of criticism is that, although unique, this glass could have been given a more harmonious and balanced profile if blended between a wider set of batches.
This tequila stands out as one of the smoothest I've ever tasted. It lacks the bite that often accompanies tequilas, and while it may not have a particularly distinctive aroma like some varieties, its smoothness more than makes up for it. Pairing it with a cigar enhances the enjoyment, creating a luxurious and satisfying experience.
Nose- ethanol/ agave/ slight vanilla Taste- clean and crisp/ a little smoke/ nice finish
Nose : Agave , minerality , vegetal , alcohol Taste : Very smooth initial taste , getting well water , minerality , vegetal flavor salty and briny with a peppery and alcohol finish . A bit harsh to drink , at this price point I would prefer other blancos .
It’s just pain pretty…feminine and pretty. Like a soft floral with a smooth white petal washing across the tongue and lips.
Bold agave aroma. Not subtle, which is great but there was some alcohol which I bet will fade once the bottle breathes a bit longer. Flavor carries the agave with a quick burn that evolves into pear and mineral. Don’t be fooled by the finish. Starts out meek but slowly builds into an amazing celebration of butter, more fruit, and nuts. Wow. Wish I could find a bottle of the high proof!
Thought it was good not great to start. But after a couple weeks it really opened up and I love it. Bright with a hint of pepper at the end. No alcohol finish. Side by side with Lalo I actually preferred this (surprisingly!).
