This is very unique Anejo, single barrel / scotch Interesting notes of agave and wood, light spice. Enjoyable

Fantastic aroma and letting it rest for a minute after pouring makes a difference (IMHO). Great balanced flavor with a bit of spice as it goes down and a slight sweetness aftertaste. I paired a second serving with a mild cigar and it was heavenly.

Lightly peated, Carmel, sherry, bright citrus aromas, light/young slightly sweet cooked agave?, Casky finish. It’s certainly a tequila/scotch hybrid! With an amazing light pale honey color! Amazing how when u smell this sometimes I smell tequila, sometimes lightly peated scotch and often both together! It’s distinct. And maybe not for everyone? I rather enjoy it for how well made and unique it is.

after letting it breathe for a min, I really started to notice a smoky brininess on the nose with just little hints of agave that start to come out more as it sits. I can almost feel the heat in my nose. Definitely spicy, peppery throughout that leaves a bit of tingle for the finish. Almost a little bit of a saltiness. But it still has a light agave sweetness throughout. Very enjoyable, definitely a nice twist to the typically great El Tesoro.

Similar to the regular anejo with a lingering - and pleasant - peaty aftertaste. This is the perfect bottle to introduce a scotch lover to tequila.
