oct 18, 2023 revisited - got pretty much the same notes... I like the nose = anise banana mint fruit, a little funk Palate a weird flavor I can't figure out. Some kind of flower? Grass? Finish is a little bitter with a weird aftertaste I can't quite define, kinda like dish soap aug 20, 2023 just received the bottles today. we opened, poured and let them sit about 30 mins to open up. i like the nose. some anise mint banana fruit floral. getting some agave pineapple smokiness and pepper in the palate. also trying to get a read on what I'm tasting that's so unique. Don't care for the finish tho. It's bitter. Kind'a offputting like dish soap. not sure how else to describe it. weird aftertaste. I'm disappointed. Was expecting better. wondering if it went bad from the high temps during transit. adding this note Aug 21, 2023 woke up with a sore throat, headache and flu-like symptoms, which may have affected my palate last nt. will revisit this expression when I'm feeling better
Organic, kosher, and Additive-Free is a good start. N- ripe agave, fruity like pineapple, and cinnamon T- caramelized agave, honey, softly sweet, stewed fruit, olive, cinnamon spice, nutmeg, a little funk MF- medium body F- Medium in length. The sweet fruits fade into pepper heat and a lasting anise V- $53 in Michigan makes this a decent value for a quality made Blanco with an interesting flavor profile
Cooked agave and fruitiness on the nose with what smells like a mint leaf … soft on the palette with a vanilla sweetness and cooked agave. Slight minty leaf flavor on the back end …. Nice complexity and a nice sipper.
Similar to Lalo but with more spice present. Nice sipper slightly pricier than some others in this range but well made and tasty.
Pepper, vegetal, and earthy on the nose, it is easy to tell this is a traditional blanco tequila. Warm as and inviting like a long lost friend who embraces you with a long hug! The first sip rolls on my tongue like Hot Tamales - though not nearly as sweet - and confuses my brain; it’s almost like Jekyll and Hyde as it then begins to open up with more classic tequila notes that I found in the nose. While the finish is long, it’s pretty mild and simplistic. Not sure it it’s the specific bottling lote or if this is the consistent profile, but I’d drink this if it was offered, but not purchase. But, I would definitely recommend it for those newer to the world of tequila.
Nose: Sweet agave (faint), cut grass, green olive. Minty entry, mildly bitter, good spicy finish. A bit timid, but nice.
Very good. High in the agave, fruit(like a fermented fruit). Nice peppery finish. Nice blonco.
Nose: sweet cinnamon, very ripe cooked agave, ripe fruit and apple, vanilla, wet limestone, creme brûlée as it’s cooking and some citrus Flavor: nice buttery mouth feel, ripe fruit, apricot, red apple, white peach and a hint of citrus Finish: lengthy combinations of bitterness, sweetness, spice, and caramelized agave
Nose was a bit sharp for me initially from the stemless Riedel. After the alcohol subsides a bit this has a very nice aroma of cooked blue agave and custard or butter cream in great depth. I knocked a point off for the sharpness. Very easy to sip, this has a body to it that lets you know it isn't water but has no fake texture or viscosity. This is exactly how a well made, additive free Tequila Blanco should taste.
Cinnamon, ripe fruit and olive brine in the nose, medium mouthfeel with sweet agave and spice in the finish. Pleasant snd consistent.
Aroma: Citrus and ripe pineapple. Light colored fruits and and dark sweet agave nose. A touch of vanilla, cinnamon and powdered ginger. Wet limestone. An herbal grassiness laced with dill. Flavors: Nice weight and viscosity. A hefty peppery note marries nicely with the buttery agave. Fresh and bright fruit and spice notes follow the aromas. The faintest medicinal note, but not to a fault. Finish: Anise and trace brininess show up for the farewell. The baked agave takes on a caramel like creaminess. A balanced, gratifying, lengthy finish.
Just not for me it’s flat
Peppery, astringent, somewhat harsh. I get the cooked agave, but it’s way in the background, and its just not present enough to make a dent in the peppery harshness. I wanted to love this Blanco, but just couldn’t get on board. I will revisit this as it opens up over the next couple weeks.
Aromas- On the nose, you are met with sweet cooked agave immediately! There's a nice combination of citrus and a fruitiness that hits a sweet spot for me! The more it opens up, I can pick up a floral note as well. Being from the Valley, it does have a light olive and earthiness to it. After several minutes of opening up some cinnamon and mint shine through. After 10 minutes of opening up, there is a little anise too! All of this, with some minerality mixed in. This had a wonderful complex nose! Taste- Like the nose, you are met with that sweet cooked agave! The earthiness typical with Valley tequilas is there too! The mint and anise tickle the tongue with the light pepper and cinnamon flavors. The fruitiness on the nose is there too, I just can't give the correct descriptor for exactly what it is. This has the citrus backing that I pull on many brands. Again, the minerality from the water source is playing along. Finish- It has a light pepper note that hangs for a few minutes in the back of your throat. This is a very easy drinking tequila that has sweet notes mixing with some earthiness. It will be a nice staple on the shelf and I'd recommend this for those new to tequila and those that like the swill... TMM 85 Salud!
aroma- sweet honeysuckle notes with hints of roasted marshmallows. flavor - cracked black peppercorn, umami, dark honey. this sure seems like it has rested in oak for a few weeks. finish- long, spicy
Mexican 38% abv. versión, LOTE NUBO1323, tasted on 12-9-23. Aroma: light sweet cooked agave, herbaceous, hint of thyme, a hint of black pepper, minerality. It gets more aromatic as it oxygenates. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, it is more herbal on the palate, also alcohol sensation is higher. Finish is medium to long, light cooked agave with green vegetal & herbaceous notes persist.
Classic lowland minerality and spice, nice sweet agave with spicy finish. It hangs with a subtle sweetness
Nose: subtle sweet, with good roasted agave coming through. Flavor: Citrus, mint, and a lot of minerality. Finish: soft and lingering.
I updated this after my original rating. I thought it was solid but a bit disappointing on the first try. After going back and letting it breathe, this really opened up.
Interesting flavor, herbal, smooth, lingering finish.
Good blanco for cooked agave in the aromas and flavors.
Aroma is very nice and smooth- just the smell of agave and slight alcohol. Taste is good- starts smooth with heavy agave then strong pepper with a lasting finish.
Nose: Mint, citrus, lactic, agave, green apple Taste: Lactic, cooked agave, black pepper, touch of alcohol, lime, medium viscosity (nice mouthfeel) Finish: Longer was ok, flavors rolled off the tongue a bit early but had a nice little burn on the gums at the end
Crisp and clean on the nose. Cinnamon, citrus, pepper and a faint green smell on the nose. Soft on smell and taste. Sweet agave, cinnamon, pepper, earthy, slight mint on the finish. This was a great buy at $50.

This tequila offers a herbal forward aroma of rosemary, mint and black tea, along with some fruity nuances of pineapple, white pepper, metallic hints, acetone with subtle mineral hints, and olive briny notes. While the aroma could be more accentuated, it still presents a friendly bouquet. The taste is very refined and crisp, it has notes of pineapple, cooked agave, grapefruit peel, that transition to spices like white pepper, clove, anise, nutmeg, cinnamon, and some minerality. The profile has a medium finish that leaves a wet cement and acetone fruity-like lingering sensation. Defect: subtle/minimal soapy sensation
