Aroma: Notable aromas of sweet cooked agave, as well as light vegetal notes of citrus. Flavor: Sweet and light flavors of agave, a hint of minerality, not overly complex but quite good. Finish: A combination of pepper, agave, and citrus. A delicious tequila overall, but perhaps not the best value.

As alot indicate, olive on tbe nose from the start then melding into agave, vanilla taffy, cinnamon and clean wet concrete. Flavor is heat up front that gives way to agave, minerals and vegetal peppers. Nice lasting finish that closes with agave and cinnamon.

Interesting nose of spearmint, manchego cheese, raw agave, almonds. Tastes magnificently harmonious. Brine. Cooked agave. Maybe some jalapeño or bell pepper. Long nuanced finish. Doesn’t show its 89 proof. A delight.

Aroma and flavor of baked agave, minerals, olives, black pepper and celery. A wonderful consistency with a long smooth earthy finish. Quite pricey and worth every penny.

Sept 16, 2023 Fuenteseca Cosecha 2018 More cinnamon in the end than 2013 but i do prefer the 2013 a little more = i like the nose on 2013 better, and it has a longer finish each time i revisit this, i update my rating!!!! updated march 1, 2023: nose is getting better each time. the bottle is about a year old by now, and I've come to enjoy this one. previous notes... my tasting notes somehow were lost. when I first tried this tequila I didn't like it. but I came back to it several times because of so many reviews from those I respect tried it again tonight after the bottle was half full and had been open for about 6 mos. apparently, this gets better with time, and the flavor is growing on me. I'll try again and update my rating if appropriate

This blanco amazed me… Aroma was inviting, but didn’t prepare me to the next rollercoaster of flavors The first sips are as if fibers of cooked agave were getting dipped on a apple pie spiced up sauce. It was such a balanced and new flavor layer, that I’ve never experienced in any blanco. Notes of anise, clove, cinnamon, and baking spices (all this on a blanco? Wow!). Mid palate some briny/herbal flavors come out as olives, grass, mint and a hint of floral bouquet…? (Unexpected flavor evolution). Some sweetness hints appear as either vanilla or honey. Finish was just great… velvety and looong, peppery notes reappear. Only negative thing… the price $145 at the moment…

100th TMM review! Delicious agave on the pallet with a little tongue numbing. One of the best available but not enough to unseat the current king, Fuenteseca 13. I'll reevaluate in the future

On the nose, cooked agave, minerals. Brine, almost reminiscent of Fortaleza for me. Earthy, green olive. Some floral notes, and grapes, oddly enough. Faint, but clear. On the palate, Heavy bodied agave and immediately struck by what I can only describe as sweet potato. It’s so full bodied that I feel as if I’m taking a bite more than drinking. Barest hint of soft vanilla on the finish. Buttery, and a little bit of pepper. A nice spice to it. Very good.

Just a small glass over an hour or so to savor this. As unique as the Calle 23 Criollo this is made from Michoacan Agave and has a funky earthy minerality that just doesn't appear in anything grown in the usual places in Jalisco. Copper pot distilled and then rested for several years in Stainless Steel this is the penultimate 1146 Blanco to date.

Aroma : Loads of cooked agave, earth, minerals, green olives, and cinnamon. There are some grassier undertones here as well with citrus and mint. Taste : Buttery, sweet, cooked agave with black pepper, cinnamon, earth, minerals, grass, mint, and a bit of salinity. Oily and thick texture in all the right ways wrap up the flavors together nicely. Finish : Long and warm with agave sweetness, cinnamon and green olives. Maybe even a bit of vanilla too. I finally found a Blanco to contend with Calle 23 Criollo. If you see this on the shelf, BUY IT. This stuff is amazing.

Well comparing this one to the 2013 I find it with a little heat at the beginning but still amazing. Agave straight forward every sip in smell and taste.

Nose: A huge wallop of agave. Earthy minerals. Salinity and a hint of finely ground white pepper. Cinnamon and nutmeg. Quite floral: jasmine and lavender scents. Lime and citrus zest. All subtly woven together. Flavors: Oily, silky - but with spicy heat and black pepper pop that builds in intensity. The natural sweetness of the agave has a dark raw honey undertone. Floral impression carries through to the palate. Brine and green olives gives this more layers to savor. Finish: This has a very rich mouth feel and delivers bold parting punches of spice and pepper. And that buttery agave.... This one hangs around for a marathon finish.

The 2018 Cosecha was picked in 2018 and rested for two years in stainless steel, with agave coming from the Las Antenas orchard in Vista Hermosa, Michoacán. This mineral-rich location makes the 2018 stand apart. On the nose I'm picking up minerals, agave, brine, citrus, and floral notes that I didn't get as much in the 2013. Flavor-wise, there's agave of course. But the minerals come through in something like wet cement, along with the citrus, brine, olive, and cinnamon. This one is also sweet and silky in the mouth, but is a bit more floral and delicate than the 2013. Excellent!

Lot 09FSB26. The blue wax on the cork is brittle. Aroma; a lot of cooked agave, sweet potatoes, oregano, Clay, rainwater. Palate: baking spice, chalk, calcium, mineral, sweet and easy to drink, citrus, licorice, salt. Finish: mild heat, fruit, mineral, chalk, some pepper, anise. Long warm and little spicy. IMHO one of the three best blancos I’ve had up to 4/2021.

Wow. The natural sweetness of the agave, oily mouthfeel and complexity of this tequila is wonderful. Highly recommend it, dangerously easy to drink.

High elevation agave from Micohcacan makes this limited 2018 Fuenteseca Blanco special. Sweet, spicy cooked agave flavors through and through. Simply one of the best Blanco’s ever produced

Nose: Salinity, brine. Like you’re sitting by the sea - thick moist salty air with agave sweetness. Taste: Salinity! Then agave, then citrus heat, bits of waxy honey, then warm vanilla towards the back end. Finish: Warm and long. Full of vanilla and a hint of olive brine. Incredible. One of the finest blancos I’ve tasted. Bravo

Rating is based off of first impressions, sipped from a Riegel tequila glass. I look forward to trying this in a Chisholm jarrito glass. Purchased online for US$120, but saw it available elsewhere for US$100. Excellent value. I bought two and will buy more. This has a lot of similarities to the 2013 release, but instead of a brininess, there is a sweetness (honey like) on the nose and the flavor reflects that as well.

There is a huge amount of cooked agave packed into the aroma and flavor of this tequila. If you ever want to see what fully mature agave can do, try this one. Simply incredible. Agave, olive, brine, citrus, and minerals in the aroma. Flavor is absolutely delicious, with more cooked agave, cinnamon and minerals. Then comes the agave and olive finish that lingers perfectly. I love this stuff. You can’t make tequila like this with 3 and 4 year-old plants. Thank you, Sr. Enrique.
