El Tesoro Blanco starts with bright aromas of agave melded with citrus and vegetal minerality, with some light hints of basil. The taste is all silky cooked agave with some notes of spice, which carries through into a finish of herbs, black pepper, and the sensation of biting into a freshly cooked agave. One of the best blanco tequilas out there.
Fantastic stuff. Nose punches you with agave and other hidden things like vanilla, citrus, even grass Tastes similar to the nose with the exception that pear also comes through strong and is delicious!
Citrus, minerals, white pepper, agave
On the nose, loads of cooked agave and some salinity, definitely getting minerals. A honey like sweetness, very appealing. On the palate, honey first, and an aromatic sweetness like agave nectar. Tons of agave, and it’s very oily, completely coats the mouth beautifully. A little bit of spice, but really the agave and honey notes are stealing the show. I get a little bit of aromatic floral notes but it’s faint. Overall, an banger from Carlos Camarena. On my first tasting, I didn’t love it but now that I come back to it, I am finding this to be absolutely fantastic. This is, in my opinion, the platonic ideal of blanco tequila. It’s not necessarily the best I’ve ever had, but it is, in all aspects, very good with no discernible flaws.
Lote 10 from new bottling. El Tesoro is very balanced and I think can be liked by most people, in Mexico it feels expensive vs. other (better imo) offerings but in the US it’s a good value.
Nose: Agave and fruity entrance. . Mango, citrus, anise, minerals and vanilla-ginger-spicy goodness. A hint of lactic. A floral presence. This has an “ebullient” bouquet. Flavor: Oily agave flavor with hints of cinnamon and spice. Rounded fruit notes. Perfect dose of pepper for balance. A good all purpose blanco.
I smell the agave, minerals and floral notes. It’s soft. I taste naturally sweet agave and white pepper along with some anise. The finish is nice and clean but short. Overall it’s a well made tequila that’s slightly on the sweet side.
One of the best blancos I have tried. Easy to sip but complex with not a lot of bite. I would sip this all day and makes a great margarita as well
This is an absolute favorite for me. From nose to finish this tequila delivers. Agave shines throughout with slight sweetness and citrus with just a touch of brine. Velvety with robust flavor and just enough spice, consistent with each expression.
As solid as they come, agave to be found around every corner and the price is tonight to beat. This is one of those reference products that new producers should taste before they decide on their profile....it’s a classic.
This is filled with a nose of sweet cooked agave, light anise, very light vanilla, definite citrus, and definite black pepper. On taste- you get the citrus and the delicious sweet cooked agave, grass, citrus and black pepper. This is a really solid tequila.
Aroma : Cooked agave, citrus, and some pear and pineapple notes. Also some degree of black pepper and earthy, grassy notes, but not necessarily mineral notes. Taste : Cooked agave and black pepper spiciness. Some earthy, grass notes. Light celery, citrus, and medium oils. I actually got a little bit of vanilla from this which is an interesting sight for a blanco, but it doesn't take away from the experience. Finish : Short to medium length with more spice and agave. To a lesser extent some greener, vegetal notes from before. This Blanco has some really good spice that goes well with the other flavors. I can find this for $36.99 USD so there's a lot of value as well.
Free tasting at local liquor store, county/gov operated. Aroma: cooked agave, pepper, oak, green olives, and honey-vanilla. Flavor: cooked agave, pepper, greens, honey-vanilla. Nice but short finish, barely no after taste.
Nose = Nice pop of sweet agave. No heat on the nose either, very even keel, subtle almost. Super pleasant. Taste = Oh yes. Agave forward, citrus, some pepper. Very well balanced. Finish = Nice and long. Warm but not aggressive. Vanilla at the end with a bit of sweetness. For 44$ @ Old Town Tequila it’s solid value. Easily a sipper and would mix well. Would recommend to a friend
Man do I like this! Full agave and some tartness to this Lot ETNP-B-001. Not a sweet product in the slightest I can see this being offputting to some drinkers. Stone ground, wood vat fermented, copper pot distilled and all El Tesoro de Don Felipe.
Sweet agave, clean, earth and pepper on the nose. Tastes cooked agave, black pepper, citrus and that little bit of burn in the finish to remind you its tequila in just the right way. Good depth of flavor and complexity but still overwhelming.
Very earthy on the nose and even more so on the palate. I am personally a big fan of that. Also some vegetal grass notes noticable 65€ in Germany value 7/10
I’d say if you’re NOT a fan of the taste of agave. This is not the tequila for you! I’m good with its agave flavor, but the average tequila drinkers I offered this too were not thrilled by it. Good quality but AGAVE TASTE is strong.
Corner Kick tequila tasting
A very full bodied blanco. Complex, smokey, pepper, all mixed with cooked agave. And made the right way. Good tequila.
This is so good! Very traditional all around, a well made tequila. Nice salty mineral aroma, agave bursts through in the flavor. A very satisfying mouthfeel and finish. It’s a shame that more tequila isn’t made this way, I have never tried a tahona tequila that I did not like and respect.
Blown away by this blanco. Amazing nose and terrific in cocktails. Strong agave flavor.
Slight citrus, very smooth-clean finish

A well made Blanco with a long history of making great tequila. One of the few 100 percent Tahona crushed agave tequilas out there. Priced right. Drink very well, some heat, some spice, over all very good
