Aroma/Taste: This tequila kicks off with a nice blend of cooked agave, vegetal, and herbal notes, like asparagus, oregano, and rosemary, with a touch of limestone minerality and lime. There's also a hint of musty yeast in the background. On the palate, you get more of that sweet agave, some black licorice, and those herbal and vegetal flavors really come through. It’s got a nice, pleasant taste overall. Finish: The finish brings out flavors of anise, mint, and white pepper spice, along with a hint of cola. It does turn a bit bitter right at the end but has a fairly long finish. Overall: Tasted blind, this one is a solid choice. I’d definitely drink it again. I’d love to have a second pour to really settle into its flavors.

Nose: agave cooked / pepper / earth / hint of lactic/ hint of banana/ lime/ orange/ hint of bell pepper/ hint of clove/ minerals Taste: sweet agave cooked / anise / vanilla/ light cinnamon/ banana/ apple / hint of melon / lime / orange / bell pepper/ spearmint/ tea / orange blossom/ nutmeg/clove / cream soda Finish: slightly viscous mouthfeel holds s lingering agave sweetness throughout the whole taste experience. A great balance within the contrast of sweet and light pepper. This blanco has some great sweetness and vanilla. Could be an awesome sipper or a good mixer. It has great ability at holding onto flavors that dissipate slowly. Definitely a good entry point to get into tequila

What a great traditional blanco. When people ask me what I’d recommend that is similar in taste to Fortaleza since they can’t find it, I always point the to ET. This Tahona crushed offering has a great aroma with cooked agave, pepper, earth and vegetal notes. On the younger we get much of the same. It doesn’t carry the olive that many lotes of Fort have but this is a nice rustic tequila. Glad to see a big company can keep their hands out of the process.

Aroma in the glass, features prominent notes of yeast, cherry, and agave. Ethereal essence of nuttiness, light smoke, citrus, faint brine, and an earthy undertone. Upon the palate, pronounced minerality, the essence of agave, earthy undertones, a hint of brine, subtle ethyl notes, a fleeting flash of nuttiness, light pepperiness, and a delightful infusion of cherry, vanilla, and lemon zest. Notably, the Blanco offers a pleasantly surprising smoothness, allowing for easy sipping or slurping without the abrupt onset of overpowering pepperiness or ethanol in the throat. The overall flavor profile is both delicious and bold, underscored by a subtle alcohol bite that is relatively brief, paving the way for the introduction of a prolonged finish characterized by freshness, grassiness and the lingering essence of cooked agave.

A well made Blanco with a long history of making great tequila. One of the few 100 percent Tahona crushed agave tequilas out there. Priced right. Drink very well, some heat, some spice, over all very good

El Tesoro Blanco starts with bright aromas of agave melded with citrus and vegetal minerality, with some light hints of basil. The taste is all silky cooked agave with some notes of spice, which carries through into a finish of herbs, black pepper, and the sensation of biting into a freshly cooked agave. One of the best blanco tequilas out there.

Fantastic stuff. Nose punches you with agave and other hidden things like vanilla, citrus, even grass Tastes similar to the nose with the exception that pear also comes through strong and is delicious!

On the nose, loads of cooked agave and some salinity, definitely getting minerals. A honey like sweetness, very appealing. On the palate, honey first, and an aromatic sweetness like agave nectar. Tons of agave, and it’s very oily, completely coats the mouth beautifully. A little bit of spice, but really the agave and honey notes are stealing the show. I get a little bit of aromatic floral notes but it’s faint. Overall, an banger from Carlos Camarena. On my first tasting, I didn’t love it but now that I come back to it, I am finding this to be absolutely fantastic. This is, in my opinion, the platonic ideal of blanco tequila. It’s not necessarily the best I’ve ever had, but it is, in all aspects, very good with no discernible flaws.

Lote 10 from new bottling. El Tesoro is very balanced and I think can be liked by most people, in Mexico it feels expensive vs. other (better imo) offerings but in the US it’s a good value.

Nose: Agave and fruity entrance. . Mango, citrus, anise, minerals and vanilla-ginger-spicy goodness. A hint of lactic. A floral presence. This has an “ebullient” bouquet. Flavor: Oily agave flavor with hints of cinnamon and spice. Rounded fruit notes. Peppery, but in balancing fashion.

I smell the agave, minerals and floral notes. It’s soft. I taste naturally sweet agave and white pepper along with some anise. The finish is nice and clean but short. Overall it’s a well made tequila that’s slightly on the sweet side.

One of the best blancos I have tried. Easy to sip but complex with not a lot of bite. I would sip this all day and makes a great margarita as well

Aroma starts with sugary agave then blends into floral and citrus. Flavor is a bit of burn followed by rich, oily, smooth agave. Never ending up as sweet as it smells and never burns more than first bite. A perfect balanced Blanco with no lean one way or the other. The standard by which all should be compared.

This is an absolute favorite for me. From nose to finish this tequila delivers. Agave shines throughout with slight sweetness and citrus with just a touch of brine. Velvety with robust flavor and just enough spice, consistent with each expression.

As solid as they come, agave to be found around every corner and the price is tonight to beat. This is one of those reference products that new producers should taste before they decide on their profile....it’s a classic.

This is filled with a nose of sweet cooked agave, light anise, very light vanilla, definite citrus, and definite black pepper. On taste- you get the citrus and the delicious sweet cooked agave, grass, citrus and black pepper. This is a really solid tequila.

Batch B - 008 40% ABV Initial nasal impact is sweet and somewhat warming. Sweet agave and fruit on the aroma. Oily mouth feel with adequate alcohol. Sweet cooked agave, cinnamon and earth on the flavor. Floral and citrus follow. There is some mineral on the retro nasal. Is this the perfect tahona crushed blanco? Not many stand up to it. Certainly a benchmark, traditionally made blanco. Carlos Camarena sets the bar with this El Tesoro blanco. Well priced. It is a must have.
