This is a light amber in the glass. The minerals from the tahona process come through in the aroma. I also get the cooked agave, herbal and oak. The flavor has cooked agave, black pepper, oak, minerals. There is a nice, medium finish. This is a pleasant sipper.

The nose on this one was nice. Fruit, vanilla and barrel influences. Subtle palate, not much going on but makes for a very easy sipper. Finish is muted but again an easy sipper.

Smells amazing, roasted agave with musty oak, makes me want to dive in. This is pretty aggressive with the alcohol hit, I was expecting some sweetness but this just immediately punches you in the dick. Loses some points for a rocky finish but a good tequila.

Like most other reviews stated. Very good but not great. However if you want to unknown what tequila tasted like 100s of years ago, this is a great option. Having the agave forward in this repo is great. Easy sipping for anyone to enjoy.

There is bit of cooked agave, light barrel aging. For the price I think I prefer a few other repos over this one. Had this side by side with their blanco. Prefer the blanco much more.

Nose: I started with a Glencairn Sherry Nosing Copita, quickly switching to my trusty Jarrito from Romeo Hristov. This repo does not have terribly vibrant aromas. It presents in more of a round and mellow style. There is chocolate, vanilla and white chocolate. As it opens a bit, I detect some earthiness or mineral notes, a vague whiff of agave, a pinch of spice and some dried fruit. Nothing standout here for me, although pleasant enough. Flavors: The initial sip delivers an unexpected pop of pepper, cinnamon, clove and allspice. Creamy in the mouth, holding the vanilla and chocolate nuances I got on the nosing. I’m trying to dig out some agave here, which I thought the tahona would showcase, but it’s elusive to me. I had waited a very long time to try this expression from San Matias, and was a tiny bit disappointed. It is well crafted and will fit the bill for many - maybe a dessert accompaniment. Just not my cup of tequila...

White chocolate, butterscotch and vanilla notes with a sweet vanilla finish. A nice, rich repo. I prefer a lighter touch on barrel flavors, with more agave for a repo, but I’m sure many will enjoy it.

This has a chocolate aroma and flavor. Agave, butter, and vanilla aroma also. Thick mouth feel and a pleasing finish. It lost 1 point on value, because it’s a bit expensive here in Mexico.

Good reposado. Leggy which represents the viscous properties of this fine reposado. It is buttery up front with a mineraly, honey finish. The aftertaste is that of sap and pine.

Nice and easy to drink. Not overly complex buy nice and buttery with the agave present. Prefer this over the blanco.

Bottle: 290920 08:04 D.O.P, L061219TR GRACIAS Appearance: Spring pollen Nose: Cooked agave, dry earth, honey, vanilla, minerality, butter, citrus, lemon zest, black pepper, cream soda, oak, baking spice, cinnamon, clove, allspice, and mint…nuanced and inviting Palate: Cooked agave, baking spice, cinnamon, clove, barrel spice, oak, alcohol, molasses, caramel, vanilla, minerality, butter, pinecone, black pepper, and brine/salinity…packs a walloping barrel-aged punch compared to the nose Finish: Alcohol, cinnamon, brine/salinity, and clove…very long, spicy, and warming with medium viscosity Overall: Upon first opening, this was a unidimensional barrel bomb. Giving it a second chance with some aeration really opened up the experience. The nose became subtle and sweet, while the palate went in another direction with intense bittersweet spiciness. I got this on sale for $35 and, at that price, this is a steal. I can see this being a great introduction to lesser-aged tequila for whiskey enthusiasts.

Additive free Reposado. Nice nose. Agave forward with wood and honey. Had this at the GOAT in Carmel IN. Drinks more like a whiskey with a hint of smoke. I enjoyed it. I’d drink again. Not my favorite Reposado but worth an order to see if you like it.

Delicious! Always looked at this, but was a little up there in price...not bad, but I always chose something else even if I was exceeding that price point. I found it for $31 so I bought it. (I've purchase their XA for about $50 and love that.)I love how this was created grown in the highlands, cooked in a brick oven for 2 days, extracted with a tahona, fermented in wooden vat for 3 days before being distilled and aged in American white oak. Great on the nose...cooked agave, earthy, honey, wood notes, on the palate the agave is forward and notes of pepper, clove, very velvety mouth feel, lingering flavors. i enjoyed it, so I bought another. Great sipper!

Nice clean rainwater feel to the flavor. A classic profile, agave and oak in the aroma and flavor. The finish is a bit rough, but I wouldn’t pour it out.
