Tons of cherry and oak on this, I’m getting more agave on this that I do with the repo, go figure. This is the picture of what anejo should taste like if I were to write a text book. Classic & dependable.
Peach aroma.

Very strong smell. Quote strong on pallet. Harsh after taste. Smokey I found.
Very nice Anejo! Oaky well balanced, would recommend.
The Gran Orendain blanco is good, but the anejo was a turn off. It had that whiskey/bourbon barrel feel but not well balanced. The barrels really do have an impact on an anejo and flavors imparted. I’ll stick with blanco in rotation 100 percent.
Smells like caramel, spicy notes
Oak and cooked agave, smooth with cinnamon hot finish
This is not bad - friend gave me some, but for $50+ there are others that are much better

Nose is pineapple cinnamon spice alcohol Taste is cinnamon vanilla pineapple with very warm peppery finish
Not to impressed. Very subdued aromas & flavors. Cooked agave, carmel & whiskey in the aroma. Oily in the mouth. Oak & honey butter in the taste. A little alcohol burn at the end with some herbal notes.
This is a good tequila but the finish has a bit too much pepper for my liking. It has good flavor for the price and is a good sipper and is worth a shot but I doubt it will be your favorite.

Quite mild aroma, with a butterscotch and orange nose. Smooth finish with no burn at all. Beautiful packaging. Especially with the Anejo If received in the box with the two caballitos. Liked by this Tequila Snob.
too strong alcohol taste even anejo. no finish impression.
Strong wood flavor
Heavily wooded with notes of pepper and spice o. The nose. Comes across hot with cinnamon, pepper and some agave. Finish is has a touch of chocolate and ends with shuttle heat and remnants of the barrel.
Notes of carob and dark fruit. Not as good as the Repo but decent.
This anejo starts out from an aggressive blanco. Once rested its very roasted agave-forward on the palate with smooth bourbon finish. Notes of maple and black pepper. Woody/oaky finish. Complex and quite delicious.
