Vanilla, very light profile. Very neutral like water or vodka. No roasted agave unfortunately.

Sorry, but I actually spit this out. Notes of hand sanitizer... not sorry.

Not a fan of cristalinos, this one is no exception. Alcohol and vanilla on the nose. Flavor severely lacks agave. Vanilla and alcohol seem to dominate on this one. No complexity. If that is what they are trying to achieve, mission accomplished. It's not for me. So many other options available. Hard Pass

Lots of fake in this tequila. Fake sugar on the nose. Fake sugar and cake batter flavor. No thanks.

Bottle is from the first release and is dated 21/Ago/10 bottle #27,271 Rancho Todo Santos. This has more wood on the nose than I expected and sipping brings heavy wood notes, which with as much color is filtered out is rather surprising, as well as bourbon flavors of caramel and vanillas. It also has some heavy alcohol present and has a long one note finish due to that presence. Meh. This is the original "cristalino" and one of the first, if not the first to mix reposado, añejo and extra añejo. Others have done the last two and CALLED it reposado, but this has reposado in the blend. For me other than the filtering nonsense this seems good on it's face but as the finish fades there is a fake sugar element present that was masked by the heavy wood and alcohol. Hmm...

This a blend of Reposado, Añejo and Extra Añejo Maestro Tequilero/Dobel tequilas. A very solid cristalino, although lacking in agave flavor. It’s very smooth and will please the general crowd, more refined aficionados will likely not like this one all that much. It’s 40% ABV in the states, 35% ABV in Mexico. I like the one sold here in the states much more. It’s $30 at my local liquor specialty store(Emilio’s in Bellflower, CA) and I do get it often as most of my family and friends seem to love it.

This is a good intro tequila. It starts sweet and it has a nice finish. There is a slight burn but it’s short lived. It’s an easy sipper. Give it a shot! ¡Salud!

Great tequila to sip on the rocks. I found price anywhere between $25 to $49. Great agave flavor with hint of alcohol and pepper, vanilla and flowers aromas. This is Wife’s new favorite mix on margaritas. The more it mellows on the rocks the more sweet the finish.

Take this rating with a grain of salt, this tequila lost points because it’s almost odourless. Fantastic mouthfeel, makes you want to sip this all night long. Medium, warm finish that is likely to win a lot of fans.

Aromas of vanilla and crushed nuts. Round mouth feel. Quite sweet with vanilla and white chocolate, ending with a slight pepper kick.

A blend of Reposado, Añejo, and XA, from new oak barrels sourced from Southern Europe, filtered to look like a blanco, with little of the finer points of any of the expressions. I just don't understand these gimmicky tequilas. I can't really find anything for the nose here, and that's an important part of the experience. I want to smell agave or barrel, but I feel like the filtration may have removed all of it. It enters spicy, tastes ok with possibly some notes of alcohol, and ends wet with maybe a note of citrus. I've tasted worse juice from a $40 bottle, so the price doesn't bother me. However there is none of the vanilla, caramel or chocolate you would typically expect from barrel aging. It wasn't offensive, but lacked character. If they see their competition as Bonita, then there's probably more flavor here.

Aroma is fruity sweet almost like a fruit punch kids drink. Also a note of Play-Doh (maybe it goes with the fruit punch). Mouthfeel is very watery and taste is very similar to cherry cough syrup - sweet upfront then a little alcohol burn. No trace of agave flavor. Finish is very short…nearly non-existent. Updated 4-20-2022 from 375 ml bottle #7,347 dated 05/Abr/2011.

LOT: 081-22 Blind tasting with: Don Julio 70 & 30-30 Cristalino. View: Totally transparent, poor tears. Freshly served; Aroma: strong chemical aroma like acetone. Salty. Flavor: An artificial sweetness that even feels like syrup on the tongue, followed by an artificial vanilla. An astringent and citrus aftertaste like orange peel. I let it oxygenate for 10 minutes. Aroma: acetone is the only thing that is perceived. Flavor: artificial sweetener and vanilla, astringency and citrus aftertaste.

Some call cristalinos a gimmick, and I get it. "Additives" in tequila seem to be the new MSG. Remember when everyone told you it was bad...MSG is naturally occurring and makes food taste better. In select cases, dark sugar and charred oak flavor aren't as bad as the hype tells you it is. Drink what you like. Salúd!

Incredibly mild nose and palate. Subtle agave on the nose and a hint of vanilla on the palate. Very easy to drink, short but smooth finish. It’s hard to knock anything about it but it’s also not offering much in terms of complexity.

Very tasty, vanilla sweet, no burn, great over ice, and comes in at a price point well below other popular brands.

Wow- this is enjoyable. The aroma is agave- oak- wood- light alcohol. The taste is agave- pepper- caramel- vanilla- delicious oak- silky wetness starts the experience and it ends just as nice. Having the mix of Reposado, Anejo, and Extra-Anejo is wonderful and the price is incredible.

A colorless reposado? Sounds like another marketing gimmick, but inside is a pretty good tequila at a pretty good price.
