Nose: agave / peppermint/ light fruitiness / orange peel / lemongrass / earth / alcohol Taste: slightly sweet agave (cooked) / vanilla/ pepper/ banana/ melon / citrus (low) / bell pepper/ clove / honey / chocolate alcohol Finish: the front palate says nice and sweet and light/ the back of the palate says it’s a little hardh, bitter, and carries a little alcohol. It’s overall good with a slightly viscous mouthfeel feel/ no specific lingering notes This reposado is just good. It’s basic. There’s nothing special or great…it’s just good. I would use it as a mixer because there’s nothing much to enjoy here as a sipper.
French oak barrels and wine cask on the nose. The barreling is prominent on the nose. Easy sipper. Barrel on the palate with some wine sweetness. Lingering Pepper finish. It’s an easy pleasant sipper that’s different but I’m not huge on wine aged tequilas.
Aroma: Agave,Cacao,Pepper,Caramel, Earthy Taste: Caramel,Chocolate,Agave,Nutty,Pepper,Olives. A pleasantly easy to drink sipper. The burst of cacao and nuts is unique to me, combined with earthy flavor mixed in tandem with the taste of caramel reminds me of a caramel fudge brownie. It's a gourmand taste done well.
tasting at chris porters 10/8/22 Don fulano repo lote 04DFR21 Bottle 147 chris purch from ferment&still Really liking this! Agave smokiness on end High 80s Legs for days Good Finish
Aroma of agave, alcohol and citrus. Flavor of cooked agave, cinnamon and black pepper. Pleasant lingering finish.
Was pleasantly surprised by this given the overall rank is not that high. Very fruity on the nose which carries through to the taste. There is a lot going on with flavors, fruit and barrel notes. Could have a thicker mouth feel but overall I really enjoyed this.
Earthy, dry, leather, short finish! It’s a nice Reposado.
A unique reposado that has aromas of banana, vanilla, caramel, and agave in that order. On the palate, light flavors of sweet banana and cooked agave. This leads into a finish than can only be described as a banana crème brûlée.
Good and different. Agave, fruit, caramel and a little smoke. When it all comes together it reminds me of a muscadine grape
Sweet, yet complex due to blending of stills. Pleasant starchiness on the palate, reminiscent of… French fries. Yes, French fries. In a very good way.
Aroma: cooked agave, fruits: apples, citrus: orange Black pepper and light oak Flavor: Vanilla (reminds me of flan), cinnamon, light butter feel along with earthy and herbal notes (celery) Finish: Oily and medium finish, makes you crave more
nose is subtle agave, pepper, fruit, citrus, raisin. flavor certifies the aroma and adds some cinnamon and butter. good mouthfeel. the french oak plays in nicely without being overpowering
Aroma: Cooked agave, fruit, and vanilla. Taste : Predominated by agave, oak, and pepper. There are some understones of vanilla here as well. The texture and mouthfeel are well balanced. Finish : Spicy black pepper and cinnamon finish that's decent in length.
Showed some heat, light wood, some citrus. This repo shows well
This is a well made tequila Earthy with great complexity. Agave and citrus in taste and very nice finish no burn at all. love it
2021 - A bit fruity on the nose. Kinda unique aroma and inviting. Flavors are ok but I pick up a metallic twang I don’t love. 80 2023 - Better experience. More caramel and oak than my first try. A little rich for me, but pretty good. 87
Rated blind: Really nice aroma on this. Peach, fruit and sweet agave aromas. Has a rich flavor and feels full and oily in the mouth, with a dry finish. A nice natural product.
Good repo. Most of the fun from taste and finish from the blanco has disappeared which is too bad. Aroma is excellent.
Super soft and approachable, has very little sweetness to drive off veteran tequila drinkers. Lovely grassy notes.
Light in color with long thick lágrimas. First wave nose: Rich vanilla, caramel, and butterscotch. Next comes agave, citrus and dark fruit. Nice spices. Flavor: Cinnamon, cloves, sweet thick agave notes, vanilla and pepper. A touch of earthiness and mint. Good mouth feel. Light French oak note. Finishes with heat and anise and generally good balance.
Light green tree fruit aroma. Flavor is smooth and slightly fruity but not sweet. Very pleasant gentle finish with just a hint of cinnamon warmth.
I'll second some other comments and say this reposado is very soft in the mouth initially but I disagree with the not much aroma statements. The bottle I opened was full of agave right after pouring. Pepper and oak prevail in the mouth and end sweetly with some tip of the tongue buzz from the 40% ABV. Overall a nice reposado but not what I was expecting based on the blanco, añejo and XA I have had from the Don Fulano line.
Aroma: Very subtle and hard to really pick up on anything specific. Maybe some small hints of agave and pepper. Flavor: Much like the aroma, the flavor is pretty subtle. It has a definite pepper flavor but not much else. Finish: It's a little lackluster... It's just such a mellow tequila that it goes down and doesn't really leave anything behind.
Relatively bland aroma with moderate scents of black pepper, agave and wood. Flavor is a big surprise after the aroma - big and fruity with very little spice at the end. Taste is soft, wet and refreshing. Spice appears and lingers for moderate finish that stays completely in the mouth.

I love the nose on this one. Agave and nice barrel notes. I wish the taste matched the nose. The agave is almost drowned out with pepper and alcohol. Everything else is masked and hard to pull out. Maybe once this open up I will like it more. Just not my tequila at the moment. Maybe DF isn’t for me although I really did like their Fuerte.
