Lote: 100DFB18. Aroma: fruity, agave, jasmine, earth, black pepper, cinnamon, brine/salt, vegetal, passion fruit, and some smoke. Palate: cinnamon, white pepper, citrus, allspice, peppery, mint and green bell pepper. Finish: easy to sip, long finish, oily, tingle on front of tongue and esófagos with mint and cinnamon. Long silky legs and few pearls on glass.

The aroma of the 80 proof blanco comes through here with stronger notes of earth and fruits. The agave still remains the center piece though. The mouthfeel is even more oily with more vibrant cooked agave and baking spices. The finish has a long pleasant heat, much like other high proofs. This is a delight to drink.

Fairly neutral in the nose, definitely doesn’t give away its agave nature. Loads of cinnamon, vanilla and agave going on, has a sharp decline on the finish that leads to a mellow aftertaste.

Agave, mint, brine and pepper aromas with rich similar taste. Even at 50 proof it’s highly drinkable, with a long peppery finish.

Nose is wet grass and slight pear. Immediate explosion of agave, black pepper and some brine. Bright and bold, complex and long finish. It’s got obvious heat given the high proof, But very sophisticated.

Initially tasted at De La O in Guadalajara Centro. Great venue, great tequila, and great folks at Scarlet’s sorpresa de cumpleaños! Nose: Olives, smoke, cellar mustiness, and black pepper. Flavor: Spicy and oily. Licorice, cinnamon, roasted nuts and some subtle herbal notes. Wonderful caramelized, sweet agave. Balanced and nuanced finish. The 100 proof packs a pleasant punch.

While thin, it is nice with caramelized agave and cooked fruit tones. A touch bitter in the finish, but can let that slide. Nice numbingness.

Cooked agave with a touch if smoke on the nose. Light entry, thin viscosity, mildly bitter. Develops nicely, moderately complex, with the bitterness turning grassy and green. Very small amount of peppery spice in the finish with a hint vinegary tang. This one improves with a tiny bit of added water.

Blind rated. Tons of awesome cooked agave in the nose, similar to #2, but with less alcohol and sweeter. Some pepper and citrus. A really great aroma! This could probably be Tapatio, the aroma recalls La Alteña. In the palate again a lot of agave, pepper and citrus. Little sweetness mixed with a nice spice burn. Well balanced and velvety, with a long agave finish. Really an excellent blanco over-proof. Definitely my fav of the samples

The cooked agave comes through on the nose, with fruit and sweetness. Is crisp and clean. The flavor has some sweetness, cooked agave, with some light anise flavor. Good finish with pepper and spice but could be longer.

From a blind tasting. Much more sophisticated and balanced than #3. This blanco has more complexity of flavor with roast agave, white pepper in the mouth and some hints of mint on the nose.

The aroma is very complex. There are notes of cinnamon, raw agave, clay, and a subtle hint of banana. The flavor is strong and full of cinnamon and agave. The high proof isn't overwhelming. In fact, it's incredibly balanced. Lots of flavor without it being too hot. It finishes incredibly smooth.

Vegetal/agave aroma upfront with black pepper and dirt. Flavor is incredibly rich and almost chewy. Cinnamon-driven heat upfront with a strong secondary flavor of fruit (cherries, apple???). The finish is long and holds a nice heat.

Fantastic aroma of cinnamon, brine, and olive. Definitely agave-forward flavor. Although it is high proof, it's easy to drink. Feels super oily in the mouth. What a great example of a how a high-proof tequila can really shine.

I really enjoy high proof tequilas and this quickly has become a favorite. It's sweet with pepper mint and earthy flavors while maintaining the agave flavor. I really enjoyed this.

Taste like a stiff dirty martini… made with tequila. I’m might need to try it with great high proof blanco.

Aroma: Earth, melon. Agave, surprisingly coming after the earth and melon aromas. Citrus, Orange pero specifically. Good bit of ethanol. Palate: Cooked agave punch right to the face. Definitely some heat but not unbalanced at all. A touch of pear, first time I’ve ever noticed this in a tequila. A sweet fruit note on the back end that I can’t put my finger on. A little thin, but pleasant. Verdict: Definitely very interesting, very tasty. This won’t be a staple in my bar, it’s probably my least favorite of the high proof blancos that I’ve had, but is still very good. I had some of the standard blanco with a friend some time ago, and I think I prefer the 80pf.

I get a little too much pepper on this for me to love. Also a high level of baking spice. Kinda meaty on the nose. It reminds me of a pechuga Mezcal. A good high proof, but not a “must have” for me. I always keep a backup of the G4 108
