Lou Agave talks about why he likes El Tesoro products, including this añejo.
Heads up! Lou says these bottles will be a collector's item soon. He explains why.
This is one of the first premium tequilas that I ever bought and sipped. It's a good solid tequila with no special tastes that make it unique.
Nose: vanilla/ caramel/ agave / light fruitiness/ bell pepper / black tea / herbal/ tobacco:/ oak / Taste: vanilla / agave / pepper/ (last 3 nearly simultaneous) / cinnamon/ hint of lime / spearmint/ tea / molasses/ hazelnut / Finish: clean watery freshness / lingering mint-cinnamon-pepper / good minty taste on finish. This anejo is a good daily sipper that delivers for the budget. There’s no huge standout flavors, but what’s there is balanced and creates a good experience.
