Agave is all lost on this one. Vanilla and barrel notes. Easy to drink
A little bland and watered down but somewhat sold, with a lot of caramel. vanilla, sweet, oak, fruit and citrus...but considering the price.... forget it.
Pretty decent overall. Smooth with butterscotch, caramel and vanilla. Maybe a little hint of agave. You expect plenty of barrel from an XA but the tequila is lost for me in this expression.
A nicely made XA, felt the price was in the packaging/bottle than the value of what we were drinking
For what this cost, its of no value
I’m surprised that I like this, I’m not generally and extra anejo guy but this has some great balance going on. Gagging for a cigar now.
Nose: Ripe berries, black cherry, minerals, thyme and a dash of pine needles. Flavor: Silky almonds and caramel with brown spices, oak and pepper. Barreling barely allows the baked agave to peak through .
This is too sweet and overly oaked for me.
Spice and slight jalapeno on the nose. Incredibly smooth, with some minerality associated with the palette.
I was able to try this at half price at a local bar's generous happy hour pricing. Extremely smooth with prominent oak and vanilla, almost reminding me of bourbon. There is agave present, but it's muted. It's very good and worth trying, but very expensive.
L60793106W, marbete is from aprox. 2005. Color: yellow to dark yellow. Aroma: light sweet cooked agave, light citrus, hint of maracuyá, light white pepper, earthy. Slight acidity. Good sweet sour and acidic balance. Light orange, light vanilla note. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, at the end vanilla notes are quite intense and creamy, quite impregnating. Finish is medium to long, light sweet cooked agave, earthy and vanilla notes persist.

Algo caro prefiero el 1972
Sawdust aroma with a gentle oak flavors.
Good Tequila, beautiful bottle presentation, not worth the price IMO.
June 2022 in cabo (@ Zadun). 2018 bottle.
The nose and taste were very faint. Caramel and vanilla were present as well as light cooked agave. Finish was clean with very faint agave and nice pepper that lingered. The cost point on this offering is out of range for the product. Like 1942, your paying for the hype.
Nice flavors, little agave, overpriced for what it is.
Big tobacco finish—really lovely.
caramel and oak
very light on the nose and flavor for an Xtra aged! $36 shot was the only reason I tried it, still not worth it! overvalued!
Caló, El Segundo
Nice tequila for bourbon drinkers with notes of cooked agave, vanilla, brown sugar, cinnamon, caramel, honey, grass, oranges, walnuts, and lavender. Could have been better if it wasn’t for the vanilla overpowering much of the nose and could have used a little less oak on the palate.
