Nice barrel on nose and palate. This is very easy to drink. I like this. Another 1414 winner
Nose: agave / mineral/ pepper / hint of fruit / citrus / lemon / very faint floral aroma Taste: agave forward / vanilla/ butterscotch / black pepper/ oak / banana/ pear / lime / mint / anise / baking spice / honey / molasses Finish: clean and sweet/ some lingering viscous mouthfeel that holds the sweetness and keeps the taste going for a long enjoyable finish This repo has so much taste going on. It’s taste notes are great and so many flavors find their way to your palate. This tequila keeps delivering on flavor….like if you could sip on this for an hour you’d probably find new tastes that weren’t there….instead of numbing your taste buds it keeps exercising them. But the unfortunate contrast to the taste is a flat nose and it’s a little pricey for a repo.
Agave and oak up front with some vanilla on the mouth some citrus medium finish … soft and mellow
Nose- agave, slight oak, anise, citrus Taste- agave, anise, citrus, touch of vanilla, lots of pepper.
Really liked this one. More wood notes than Artenom 1414 and also less swetness than Viva Mexico. It’s a buttery straightforward reposado.
Aroma : Oak, caramel, cinnamon, and baking spices. Taste : A touch of cooked agave alongside notable caramel and oak notes that make me think more of an Añejo than a Reposado. Finish : Medium length with a fair bit of barrel influence just like the initial taste. Not bad at all, but I would like to see a bit more complexity in the form of more agave, or maybe fruit or nut notes.
Aroma of wood, minerals, hint of buttermilk. Flavor of pronounced wood but not overpowering, agave, licorice, and finishes with more wood. Almost too heavily wooded for a Repo but that puts it in a class by itself and is very enjoyable. The tobacco flavor is so enjoyable to somebody that's a cigar smoker is kind of like they let you toss a few of your favorite cigars into the still or the barrel to add some flavor. Woof it's good!
Nicely spicy in the mouth, this is a great reposado from 1414. I wonder about the juice in the bottle as the harvest date for the agave is listed as 2005. I am thinking the blanco was in stainless before it was aged to reposado as this a fairly recent bottle. Whatever the story this is great juice.
Aromas of caramel, Hubbard bubba and cinnamon. Delicious flavor of cooked agave and a cinnamon finish.
Yummy. Great product. It smells fantastic and I love drinking this.
Really pleasant repo. It has many aspects of an Añejo and as such not too much agave. Nonetheless very nice!
There's a lot of bang for the buck with Siembra Azul, and this repo does not disappoint. With notes of chocolate covered cherries, butterscotch, cinnamon and honey, along with some herbs and spices, one might think that this is an añejo. The agave is not as predominate as I like in a repo, but the finish has a really nice dry earthy tone to remind you it is tequila.
A very tasty yet simple Reposado with no strings attached
Lot 13/16 I waited a little while for this to open up…like 20/30 minutes Nose: Oak, vanilla, banana, butterscotch, and at first some alcohol/ethanol but dissipated after about 25 minutes. Palate: Oak, vanilla, agave and cinnamon Finish: Pleasant agave and barrel notes roll off the tongue
Oak, caramel, honey, butter, light vanilla. Agave is lost, and the slightly smoky flavor profile that's in the batch 12 blanco isn't here. Short finish that falls flat quickly. Was looking forward to this but was disappointed. Many anejos are around the same price range. | Batch 013/016 After letting it air and tasting again - reminded me of Suerte Repo. Tasted both side by side and they were similar to me.
Nose: fruity, tropical fruits, butter, cinnamon toffee, agave, butter Palate: oak, oatmeal cookies, toffee, chocolate, sweet agave. Medium finish
Another pleasant surprise from Siembra Azul. I seem to gravitate toward the Altos or Highlands grown agaves. The minerality and crispness are what attract me to them and this NOM1414 product lives up to the task. Perfectly aged in oak without loosing the cooked agave profile. Nice Carmel and pepper notes. Super slick going down with a smooth antibacterial burn.
Siembra Azul Reposado Lot 013/016 Summary: Lovely silky oak-forward reposado that I picked for $76 at Saratoga Wine Exchange. I highly recommend this repo. Aroma: Dusky oak with soft vanilla and light butterscotch notes. Delicate cinnamon and baking spices with subtle backend hints of orange blossom and banana. Taste: Simple and delicious. Cooked agave melds together with oak, cinnamon, and carmel. A buttery mouthfeel with a slow build up of cinnamon spice and black pepper. Finish: Fairly straightforward and short to medium in length. Light sweetness dances around with the cinnamon bite for an enjoyable finish.
Old world charm. Delicious sipper.
Amazing tequila, can anyone confirm if this additive free or not? Not seeing the additive free cert. on this one.
I did a tasting of Siembra Azul Reposado with three different lots including lit #13, #14, and the newest release, a blend of lots #13 and #16. I anticipated similar aromas but what I encountered were three different and distinct profiles—Lot #13 showcased caramel, butterscotch, banana; Lot #14 had light smoke and an ancestral nose; Lot 13/16 exhibited herbaceous, earthy notes. Despite nearly identical production methods, the varied terroir, owing to different agave ranchos, resulted in three remarkably different aroma and taste profiles. In a blind tasting, I would have bet the farm that each of these three were different brands. It's a compelling testament to the impact of terroir on both aroma and flavor.
Light floral citrus agave nose, nice well balanced finish with spice
Tried at Elijah’s.
Had this in NYC as my daughter graduated from NYU in speech pathology. This is an easy drinker. Some agave and oak aroma’s followed by a light sweetness concludes with a mild finish. I recommend it.

On the nose I smell cooked agave, oak, caramel and vanilla. Notes of banana, citrus and black pepper. On the tongue, it is very oak forward and overpowers the agave. Alcohol is on the taste along with black pepper. other barrel notes such as caramel and vanilla. A touch of butter. This is a moderately good repo but based on the price it isn’t one that I will grab that often.
