Starts with sweet, candy-like aromas, reminiscent of a Jolly Rancher. Very different profile, some floral, citrus, and hints of agave. The flavors are sweet, almost artificial tasting, strawberry candy, overwhelms any agave flavor. On the finish, more flavors of strawberry Jolly Rancher and cough medicine. My take is that this tequila is not actually aged in wine barrels in the same way as Código 1530 and Montagave. The pink hue does not seem at all natural, and the flavors are entirely different. Might be alright in a Margarita, but not recommended as a sipper.

Agave and some wine sweetness on the nose … some cooked agave on the mouth with some black pepper and dark chocolate bitterness.
