This bottle is from NOM 1079, circa 2005/6.
Sampled at Monterey Tequila Fest. This was an oldie bottle from 1079–lovely! Which they still made it this way.
This expression showcased notes of cherry (medicinal), barrel spice is overpowering, rancio notes (tobacco, leather, vintage). It was a bit unbalanced as I didn’t find harmony between flavors
This profile is good and has basic framework Organoleptic structure: Very similar to its reposado expression, just sweeter and oak-forward
This profile is good and has a subtle framework Organoleptic structure: Spices, barrel spice, oak, vanilla, agave is very minimal, licorice & mustiness was detected.
