Nice balance. Agave sweeteness, caramel, citrus, plum, white chocolate, berries on the nose. Hints of cinnamon, honey, berries, caramel, going down. Slightly thinner than I like, but still a decent XA.
Nose: Bright aromas. Dried fruit: raisins, citrus and apricot? Cedar, light oak, and lively barrel spice. Undercurrents of vanilla and butterscotch, with some edgy mineral earthiness. Flavor: Some barrel spices, orange peel, pepper and tingly cinnamon heat. Nuts and butterscotch with a kiss of coffee. Oily. Creamy, sweet - borderline overly sweet for my tastes. A straightforward sipper with no pretensions. I can see this Añejo as a complement to a dessert course.
On the dark side for a repo. It is darker than the Añejo. The brand rep stated that no additives are used in their tequilas. Nose: A faint woody oak note that carries some nice barrel spices. Prominent agave, some orange citrus aromas, vanilla, toffee and some earthy undertones. Flavor: Creamy in the mouth, with a caramel/toffee dessert feel to it. There are sufficient pepper and punchy baking spice notes to keep your palate at rapt attention. A slight cedar nuance on the finish. This is rich, and might work as an after dinner option.
Nose: Big baked agave entrance. Spicy with citrus zest. A dusty note and minerals. Flavor: Cinnamon, cloves and a bit of vanilla. Nice peppery zing. Plenty of sweet agave front and center. Pleasing mouth feel. Finish: Late blooming ripe tree fruit nuances, backed up with pepper and anise. A guest presenter at our Ajijic Tequila Club October 2019.
