Nose: Bright aromas. Dried fruit: raisins, citrus and apricot? Cedar, light oak, and lively barrel spice. Undercurrents of vanilla and butterscotch, with some edgy mineral earthiness. Flavor: Some barrel spices, orange peel, pepper and tingly cinnamon heat. Nuts and butterscotch with a kiss of coffee. Oily. Creamy, sweet - borderline overly sweet for my tastes. A straightforward sipper with no pretensions. I can see this Añejo as a complement to a dessert course.
