On the nose I get sweet cooked agave, cinnamon citrus - specifically orange. Alcohol On the palate this has a nice burst of sweet agave. Jalapeño Pepper, citrus, again orange. It is vegetal and earthy. Not super complex but a good sipper.
NOM 1258 Vessel: Glencairn Nose: Cooked Agave, Orange Rind, Grapefruit, Hay, and Cinnamon. Palate: Pepper, Grass, Orange Blossom, Minerality Finish: Anise, Grass, Petrochor/ Cement, Limestone. Throughout this sipping experience, there has definitely been an influence of minerality. That influence increased exponentially from the nose to finish. Meanwhile, vegetal and citrus notes also remained a constant all the way through. Undoubtedly, this makes a great sipper, but it's also got everything that makes the perfect paloma; a minerality to compliment the salt and a citrus-floral element that mingles well with the Grapefruit.
Nice bottle, their mezcal tends to be overpriced but this is priced well in mexico for an additive free tequila. The nose is very muted but I really liked the intensity of cooked agave. Also would make a nice gift, I recommend it.
