I saw so many ads in Facebook that decided to get it. For a XA you can still smell some agave but also I get caramel, vanilla. Taste wise Oak, caramel with very nice finish. Is an ok tequila but it didn't blow my mind. Overall ok but not a tequila I'll buy again.
Cherries and dark chocolate all over the nose with hints of agave, followed by rich butterscotch. Leather tannins, oak and pepper immediately in the mouth, some cooked agave peaking through. A clean finish with enjoyable heat that delivers complexity as it lingers on the back of the tongue. Not an incredibly agave forward extra añejo, as few that have spent 6 years double barreled would. Ultimately a very enjoyable and interesting tequila.
Tasted in Brandy Snifter Aroma: Faint Agave, Sweet Vanilla, Caramel, Oak, Light Tobacco, Earthy and a little Cherry and Orange Peel. Taste: Sweet Vanilla, Caramel, Oak, Butterscotch, Earthy, Cherry and a touch of Agave.
Nose does not smell like tequila. Very sweet and perfumed. Not sure but I’d guess this is not additive free. Taste is somewhat agave. Mostly barrel and oak. This was a gift and I am always appreciative of gifts. It will take years before this one is consumed.
