Not a ton of complexity here. Standard fare. Oak, vanilla and caramel dominates.
Raw agave, giving way to pepper and vegetables. Not super complex. Had to reach for aromas and flavors.
Sweet, oaky and complex. Its okay. Leathery, caramel and chocolate. Must be a medium to heavy char on the barrels. Hints of nutmeg on the finish.
This was a shallow tequila to me; meaning it didn’t give off much of a flavor or aroma profile to me. I don’t like when i have to hunt for flavors and aromas. This is triple distilled so a lot of the nuances are stripped out. Its okay, just not aggressive enough for me.
Nice caramel color and oily legs in the glass. Aroma: oak and vanilla, on the light side. Flavor of vanilla and oak barrel with a touch of sweetness. Pleasant medium finish.
Aroma: Dark cherry, berries, vanilla, floral notes and wet concrete. Flavor: Vanilla custard, cinnamon, fruitiness and white pepper. A little on the sweet side, but in the acceptable range. Finish: Medium long butterscotch and pepper. A little syrupy.
Nose: Ripe agave, cinnamon and clove, tropical fruit, and floral. Oily vanilla, hint of mint and black pepper. A touch on the sweet side, but a trace of bitter too. Finishes ok.
A tiny bit sweet for my tastes, but solid.
