Very light amber in the glass. Aroma of cooked agave, anise, astringent and vanilla. Flavor of black pepper, anise, vanilla and a hint of agave. Not much finish.
In my first inhale, I thought it had a “nice” aroma. Upon my second and subsequent inhales, I get a very strong, lemony aroma, like a soap, but absolutely no agave. Taste and short finish are of strong alcohol. I see others like it better than I did.
The barreling helped to mask the flavor of the blanco.
Thank god for mini's. Stay away from it even at a low price point.

Better on the 3rd night and definitely has more appeal than the standard Blanco imo. In the aroma, there is interplay of charred wood, mesquite, and yeast, along with subtle hints of smoke, citrus, earthiness, nuttiness, and agave. Upon the palate is prominent smoke flavor accompanied by toasted nuts and a fleeting saccharine sweetness. Notes of lemon citrus add brightness, while hints of grassiness and fresh agave provide balance and depth to the overall profile. The tanginess adds a refreshing twist. As the tasting concludes, a fruity exit emerges, leaving behind lingering notes of mesquite and a refreshing touch of honeysuckle.
