NOM 1500 | So much agave in this one. I think they skipped the process and bottle a Piña. Not sure how to describe this one other than so much agave. Definitely has to be on Blanco drinkers list
1500– Trianon Añejo is a sweet, woody, spicy sipping tequila that won’t break the bank. The color is dark, perhaps from the longer aging and red wine barrel (or maybe coloring), and visually reinforces some of the flavor profile. The bottle is quite nice, with a metal embossed badge, nice topper, and slender profile. Overall, the presentation is excellent. I detect caramel, vanilla, agave, oak, pepper, cinnamon, leather, and tobacco. It has nice viscosity and is a very pleasant sipper. I’ll add this to my list of tequila to help convert whiskey drinkers.
Nose: citrus, hints of lime, floral, vegetal, and mineral notes Flavor: cooked agave, agave sweetness, vanilla and green apple Finish: medium with lots of spice
From NOM 1500, this is very rich with caramel, oak, agave and nice viscosity. It settles down nicely in a Glencairn after sitting a few minutes. This opens up to a chewy caramel bar mouth feel while not being syrupy or over sweet. I've had this awhile as it is the bottom of the tri stack of .375ml bottles originally released by the brand. The taller 750ml bottles came later as did a move in NOM. This has a 2004 stamp but isn't anywhere near that old.
NOM 1500 Bottle Stamp: 017BCO40 40% Amazing cooked agave on the aroma as soon as it hits the glass. Floral, papaya, guava, banana and citrus zest follow. Caramel and cinnamon are also present. Very agave forward on the flavor with black pepper providing a nice prickle on the tongue. The retro nasal and long finish introduce wintergreen LifeSavers to the flavor. The finish goes on for days. I would put this up against a few High Proof blancos and it would hold its own. Delicious. Haven't had the NOM 1123 yet, but any time I see one from NOM 1500 it is a must buy. Excellent value. You need to find this one
Nose is deeply vegetal, earthy and kind of musky in a good way. Agave is prominent with a hint of sweetness and even cinnamon. Soft and round mouthfeel, there’s a minerality that’s nice. An easy mix of pepper and spice with low heat and a medium finish, that does get some complexity as it sits towards the back of the throat.

I could sniff this all day, wow! Barrel notes galore with agave. Caramel, hints of chocolate, maybe some cinnamon. This is a dessert sipper. Really enjoy it!
