40% ABV. Purchased in Mx. Fresh nose: floral and agave notes. Coats the tongue nicely with agave, cookie spices and pleasing heat.
NOM 1459. This was good value at $41 a bottle, but this is likely a treasure bottle now.
Aroma of oak and bourbon (barrels). Needs some time to reveal more aromas. The agave starts to show itself after a few minutes. Flavor has a nice charred flavor, oak, along with black licorice. Mild heat with notes of cigar, leather, anise, agave and slightly sweet bourbon. Highly recommend sipping while enjoying a medium to full bodied cigar.
Slightly harsh alcohol finish. Not as smooth as expected for a reposado.
$55 a bottle. 100 proof, so a nice burn and good taste of agave. Very solid and not too sweet.
