• Visual: Clear w/ thin clear edge. Quick cascade, thin viscosity • Initial Nasal Impact: Prickle, slightly warming • Aroma: Cooked agave, orange citrus, wet stone • Mouthfeel: Buttery w/ sufficient alcohol • Flavor: Cooked agave, honey, clementine, anise • Finish: Long with black pepper and clementine
Medicinal nose with some slight agave. There is a nice initial agave sweetness with some mild cinnamon on the palate. This is very mild in the mouth with some lower lip and tongue buzz. Medium length finish to wrap things up.
Blind: Light agave and lime on the nose. Agave and mineral taste.
A lot of minerality and anise with lots of earth and vegetal notes. A really nice high proof blanco.
Nice silky smooth mouthfeel with rich agave sweetness , citrus (grapefruit), slight vanillin right after then earthy and floralness that flows into a nice peppery finish

Nose: Beautiful juicy and ripe fruit on the nose. Silky smooth butter, caramel, and plenty of earth character. The fruit truly is the star of the show. Cherry, cider, prune, pear, grapes, and tropical fruit. Mild herbal pieces of celery and sage. Citrus comes in with a blast of orange, tangerine and no absence of grapefruit. Palate: Very nice body with plenty of viscosity. Similar to the nose, the fruitiness is the standout for me. Apple, banana, Cherry, cider, and berry. While there is agave character, it stands somewhat in the back. It’s like a beautifully ripe fruit salad with tequila gently poured over. Easily the most complex tequila I have to date.
let this sit and open. earthy cinnamon strawberry! keeps changing the longer it sits. interestingly, it's not as hot as u would expect for a 50 abv hp note, I gave it 80 pts in the tmm blind high-proof tasting 10/2024
This is a unique high proof with a great nose, fantastic flavors, and an amazing finish. For being 100 proof there is hardly any heat on this one. Nose: cooked agave, earth, grass, cinnamon, vegetal, and orange peel. Palate: cooked agave, grass, olive, cinnamon, vegetal, citrus, and anise. The finish is my absolute favorite about this high proof. It just lingers around and has a great viscous mouth feel. Very enjoyable sipper.
There’s a lot going on here but the secret is to let this open up. Drink slowly! Aroma is earthy, floral, a bit fruity and cinnamon. But it keeps changing over time as the alcohol blows off, so it’s a fun experience as long as you have some time. Lots of agave sweetness and a super long finish. A touch of mint and creamy caramel flavors. This is a fun tequila, but seriously take it slow and cherish it. And the agave-from-seed thing is mind blowing
I was hoping to love this after some of the early press I saw. I do really like it but it doesn’t meet the hype for me. The nose is earthy and floral. I get raw and cooked agave. I like a chocolate note and this has it. Maybe even a little strawberry. I really like the nose. On the tongue, I was hoping for an explosion of flavors but I get a dominant note of alcohol, anise and minerality. Agave comes through but pulling out individual flavors is hard. I let this rest a while but it is a first pour. It is possible this goes up for me later but for now it is a good offering, not a great offering for me. This one gets better as it breathes. Updated by a few points on third pour. After rating this in a TMM blind, I do not think this one is for me. The alcohol just overpowers the flavors.
Clean agave and pepper on the nose. Pepper follows through the palate and finish with some heat. I like pepper so it’s good but the complexity is missing for me

My first foray into Mijenta’s catalog, and I feel as though I’ve done myself a disservice. I’m not sure how much better it can get from here. On the nose I’m hit with a composite aroma which I can safely say I’ve never experienced in a tequila before. To start, this is a very floral nose, as though I’ve found myself strolling through a flower garden. Herbal notes are also detected, along with blue cheese, and grass. On the palate, ripe cooked agave is centerfold & sweet, with more floral notes, spearmint, anise, licorice, green olive, lavender, peppermint and cracked black pepper on the back palate. The finish is mid to long with a mid-range viscosity and a surprise appearance of melon & tropical fruits on the tail end. Yeah, this stuff is really good, like REALLY good. The fact that the eight year old agaves harvested for this expression were grown from seeds is as remarkable as the tequila within the bottle. Edit: Knocked a few points for slightly metallic/match shaving finish, copper next run please! Sequestering FTW
9-3-24: Let it breathe more and tried again Nose: earth / olive / citrus / pepper/ hay / sage / salt Taste: sweet agave cooked bomb / peppermint/ vanilla/ anise / cinnamon/ pineapple/ grapefruit/ orange peel / lemongrass/ lavender / hint of tobacco/ salt Finish: medium viscosity mouthfeel / lingering peppermint, anise, sweet agave cooked / the peppermint is very strong through the whole taste, but the anise and agave sweetness balance this well This high proof blanco is very enjoyable, though it has a strong lingering peppermint/spicy note that carries on well after the swallow, but leaves a minty freshness. After a second pour a couple days after the first try, the sweetness has risen up to balance the peppermint and spicy cinnamon and give a nice balance between the two. This is quite good and really appeals to the sweet tooth in me.
Amazing nose on this one. Very different, mint, pine, sweetness, flavors of citrus, cooked agave, very balanced, not a lot of heat on this one for 100 proof. Excellent

Great product, strong agave presence with anise, followed by mineral, grassy, floral, light citrus, herbal, and minty! Has a great finish! Bought a 1.5oz pour in San Antonio for $12
MJ/BCO/MS/010224, tasted on 1-15-25. Aroma: raw agave, quite mineral and herbaceous, reminds me of Guanajuato agaves, green vegetal note, light earthiness, after 30 minutes in the glass a hint of fruitiness emerges, which makes me think this tequila will improve as time goes by. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, mineral and herbal notes are more intense on my palate and through my retronasal, hint of brine. Thick mouthfeel. Finish is medium to medium long, light raw agave, mineral and herbal notes with a hint of earthiness persists.
Nose is cooked agave, earth and grass. Taste is cooked agave, alcohol, pepper and mint. Glass was a Chisholm High Proof Jarrito.
Tried in a sample cup. Nose is nice with sweet agave and some alcohol from the high proof. The taste is agave with some mint and earth. Very solid.
Mild smokiness
Light but complex nose. I get some agave, grass, earth and minerality, with hints of mint and citrus. Bright and clear in the glass. Nice tear adhesion. Super creamy mouthfeel - real thick and viscous. Not overly sweet (actually was hoping for a touch more agave-sweetness), with cracked-pepper and some cinnamon. I also find a mild smokiness. Finish is long and somewhat dry for me with an easy and enjoyable “bite”. Nice…
I wanted to like this more. Medicinal/alcohol on the nose with agave lingering in the background. The taste had more agave and the beginning of pepper. This finished with the pepper moving to the fore and the agave taking a backseat. There’s a pleasant bit of lip and mouth tingling which is certainly appropriate for a high proof product. I agree with other comments that this improves with some time to open up. I like the effort of growing from seeds but not enough to be “wowed “ . A nice product which I certainly will share and discuss with friends but certainly not an upper 80s when one figures in the price point.
