Not a fan of most cristalinos but this one was decent. Nothing overly remarkable or complex but I got some notes of cooked agave, vanilla, baking spice and some citrus.

A: some floral notes, a little cooked agave, barrel Fl: alcohol burn up front, some flavor comes out a bit goes flat fast, - I get some barrel notes as it sits a bit, but flavor still is flat Finish: medium - mainly alcohol on palate

Patrón Cristalino offers a refined take on the Cristalino category, showcasing notes of vanilla and caramel reminiscent of an añejo but without the excessive sweetness common in others. My favorite bar in town finally had something new to try. The aroma was lacking much of anything. I picked up some cooked agave and a hint of oak. Flavor, I was immediately hit with black pepper spiciness, what seemed like added vanilla and artificial sweetener. The finish disappeared quickly, thankfully. This is a new addition to their lineup.

Surprisingly not terrible. I wouldn't go out and purchase unless you are a fan of crystalinos but I was lucky to try at a tasting at El Portal in Pasadena.

I'm generally not a Cristallino person but this one holds one promise. Lots of complexity. I was surprised how much I liked it.

rating this as for what it is, a Cristalino not much aroma or flavor as expected, smooth as you can imagine, a little sweet and thats it. This is what i would serve in a tequila night with friends that enjoy good tequila...and they bring along a companion that doesn't like tequila cause is to harsh but want to get involved for those who want to drink tequila without tasting it don't find it artificialy flavored like don julio 70 or 1800 cristalino, so i rank it as the Best cristalino I had. if I was comparing it to other expresions I would rank it lower, but it's what it is Even if I don't enjoy it for me.
