NOM 1607 | This is disturbingly bad tequila
NOM 1607 | Ok after switching to the next distillery I think most of us can tell what you are doing. Blanco that tastes like vanilla birthday cake with artificial rum frosting is not fooling most of us. Good luck with your cash grab.
Jan 5, 2023 I tried this in a blind a few weeks ago but wanted to revisit b4 doing a review. So I finished my sample today... Nose First time I drank this, I got vanilla and caramel on the nose. Today = Alcohol forward with minerality. Its hard to smell agave because the alcohol smell is so strong. Palate The first time I got vanilla and some unnatural sweetness, but not agave. Today i didn't get much flavor at all. There's a trace of agave but otherwise really nothing. Finish falls flat and leaves a bitter after taste Overall This wasn't great, and it also wasn't as horrible as I thought it was going to be. Still, not a good tequila. Baffles my brain what they did to make this so unpleasant when they used a traditional process = stone ovens and tahona crush. I assume the agave weren't fully matured, they didn't cut off all the bitter parts of the piña, and there's additives. Also, what's the quality of the water they used? ... Rating 60 pts
Synthetic and artificial.
NOM 1607 | Smells like angel food cake, I’m getting some agave but mostly vanilla and caramelized sugar. Taste isn’t a huge departure from the smell, this is definitely on the sweet side of things. I would say the closest comparison I could make is biscotti, that almond is really coming through. Overall this is kinda what I expect from contract brands, it’s mass appeal should help it find its market share.
NOM 1137 | Aroma is actually not bad, it’s the flavor profile and finish that’s really not good Sweet, sweet and does not resemble tequilla …. Hyped up marketing machine
Ummm. Aroma is the most ridiculous part. Vanilla frosting and lots of fake flavors. In spite of all the artificialness it still has the Cofradia funk in the aroma. Taste is not good. Burnt brown sugar and no sign of agave…. I wasn’t even paying attention for the finish because the aroma and a taste are so bad and and an affront to real Tequila. Avoid.
Bad, just bad. Nothing going on here. Another I had to spit out for fear of ruining my palate for the next Tasting...
So on the nose and in the taste I get a lot of flavors that I would not expect. Butterscotch, cake batter, fake vanilla none of which are especially pleasant. Little to no agave taste. If you like more of a liqueur taste maybe this works, I wouldn't even use this as a mixer.
NOM 1137 | Nose: Sweet, vegetal, vanilla, cinnamon, and no agave Flavor: cotton candy, pepper, cinnamon, missing cooked agave Finish: very sweet and peppery
REDUCED RATING- NOM 1137 blanco =56 for me. It's horrible, and it tasted more manipulated with vanilla cream custard the more I drank it...disgusting. The new NOM 1607 Repo is even worse... it's disgusting and undrinkable. That may be the WORST reposado I we've had=39
NOM 1137 | Aroma: Sweet cream soda, vanilla, light on agave, but I get cream soda through and through. Very prominent. A touch of caramel. Makes me wonder if this isn't additive heavy, or if they rested it in barrel. It smells nice, but nothing tells me this is tequila. Palate: The sweet cream soda on the nose comes through front and center. Agave is notably missing. I get a little bit of baking spice, vanilla, a touch of ethanol on the back end. Honestly, this is really tasty, very palatable, but not tequila. Definitely additive laden. I get mild hints of cooked agave, but man, it's really missing here. They made an interesting sipping spirit, but a mediocre tequila. Verdict: Skip I would give this a much higher score if I was trying to judge it as something other than tequila. As far as I’m concerned, it’s mediocre as a tequila, the agave is notably missing, the cream soda is dominating in the nose and palate. That’s not a bad thing if you want a dessert spirit, but it is if you want a sipping blanco. Tastes engineered, not crafted. No judgment if you like it, it’s clearly made to be palatable and tasty, probably makes a very interesting cocktail, but this doesn’t hold a candle to anything in its price range. It’s missing that nasty diffuser taste, so that’s good, but I can’t recommend this in good faith. I’m not going to completely dunk on it like all the fake outrage reviewers are, but it’s definitely not a good tequila in my eyes.
NOM 1137 | Cream soda, vegetal, candy nose with sweet cinnamon taste and bitter finish. Has light fingerprint of Cofradia products, but manipulated.
NOM 1137 | Lots of vanilla in the aroma here (a lot!!), but still retains that signature Cofradia green vegetal aroma. Flavor is super sweet, cinnamon, and vanilla. This flavor profile is designed for people who don’t like tequila.
NOM 1137 | Swamp water with vanilla flavor ... uuuhhhhgg!!
NOM 1137 | Nose: Minty, cinnamon, vanilla cotton candy-like aroma. The typical NOM #1137 swamp aroma, but bathed in vanilla. A little sharpness to the nose, perhaps a mineral note. Flavor: An entrance of thick vanilla viscosity. Slightly bitter pepper notes hitting the sides of my tongue and back of the throat . Tastes of artificially flavored vanilla saltwater taffy. A dash of cinnamon. Finish: An odd acrid aftertaste to the sweetness, and lingering sulfur detract from the tasting experience. I’m hoping that the next iteration of 818 out of new NOM #1607 brings significant improvements.
It taste manufactured
I think it works excellent in a Margarita no doubt!
This "tequila" taste to Contreau. maybe the type of people who uses that orange nonsens in their Margarita will like this liquid. How it can be sold as tequila is beyond me. Don't waste your money. Even the 51% with the hat is better.
To sweet
Has an odd ice cream like finish.
It does not smell or taste like tequila. Sweet, perfume. It's hard to believe it was Tahona crushed. No minerality.
Owned by Kardashian’s.

This was the only bottle on the shelf I haven't rated. Aroma of vanilla, cooked agave and cake batter. Flavor of black pepper, vanilla, cake batter and artificial sweetener. Not much finish. Not sure who the target customer is.
