This tequila is super thick, heavy, oily in the mouth. Aroma is cooked agave and cinnamon, which I like. Flavor is a bit muted due to the thickness in the mouth.

Cooked agave, citrus, pepper, celery and some vegetal notes. Green agave in the background. Short to medium finish. An above average Spirits Direct brand from Total Wine for around $40

Agave on the nose which is always nice. Mid palate is soft with a little bit of heat on the finish. I’ll sip it but not sure it’ll be replaced with so many other options available. Glad to try it though. $39 at Total Wine. Update: this one opened up nicely after revisiting. I would buy it again. It’s got nice agave on the palate. Little bit of sweetness.

Seemed soft initially for a Stainless Steel distilled product but this Blanco took on a sharper character after sitting for a half hour or so in the glass. I like this quite a bit as it strokes a personal sweet spot flavor wise with some anise notes which I have always enjoyed. It's not overdone and is a great addition to the overall profile of this, for me, surprising Blanco release.

Liquor store tasting - to be fair, did not get much to taste of this very light pour. Nose was a bit astringent. Will need a proper tasting to fully review.

At times this tastes and smells like pure agave. Oily mouthfeel. Agave forward with an earthy finish. sometimes I get an off flavor like an artificial sweetener aftertaste. If not for that aftertaste, this would score much higher.

Some citrus in the aroma and taste. Just a bit sweet, but not too much - smooth. The citrus hides some of the agave found in blancos. A great choice when you want a blanco on the smoother side.

Gonzales 1939 Blanco is soft on the nose and palate. Affordability (Total Wine @ $35) makes this a attractive pick up. Pleasant but not overly remarkable.

Lots of raw agave in the aroma and taste. Lime, citrus and a bit plastic in the aroma. Some celery, herbal orange peel in the taste. Pine cone, spicy pepper and more fresh agave in the finish.
