This nose reminds me of Christmas. It is earthy, with cherry, anise, dried fruits. The taste starts out sweet but soon is consumed by alcohol there is also pepper and vanilla and cinnamon The fruits are of apple and cherry. A bit of orange peel and a slightly bitter finish. The finish knocked it down at least a point or two for me. This is barrel 19, Binny’s Pick.
Nose: oak /earth / vanilla/ cherry / herbal/ tea / hay / tobacco/ leather / lactic / tiny bit of smoke / rubber Taste: cooked agave / pepper / vanilla/ oak / cinnamon/ apple / orange peel / mint / nutmeg/ molasses Finish: sweet and bitter/savory finish that ends completely on a fresh note of clean water and mint This is the single barrel from barrel 10. There was one unwanted nose note that had a ‘rubber’ smell, but it didn’t come through in the taste. There’s a lot of flavor considering the basic 40% abv.
Huge agave nose due to the classic light barrel aging. vegetal on the palate with a long lingering pepper finish.

Barrel 6 - Sip Tequila
SIB Barrel #8 44% - Amazing nose - agave, some caramel, vanilla, baking spices, marzipan? Amazing amazing stuff - on pallet, same notes, agave is there, lots of baking spice, some nice barrel notes, very rich and creamy, just amazing juice, one of the best repos I’ve ever had.
Agave and dried fruit up front ….. some oak and slight burn …. Somewhat complex …. Good sipper
Just wow. The way the agave, v caramel and fruitiness marries together is absolutely amazing.
Once in a while something special comes along. This definitely qualifies as special. Of course this being a Camarena juice, it hardly needs an intro. Either way this single barrel is a must have, must hunt gem. Limited run SB is unbelievably complex for a light repo. Agave driven, dried pineapple, dried apricot, berries, strawberries, cinnamon, minerals, so earthy!
This is something special. Very unique, delicious flavors of cooked agave and light barrel notes. Beautiful finish. New favorite Reposado
Adds another to the blanco that is just lovely. A flavor explosion but with a shorter finish than the blanco. Definitely recommend it.
Barrel 1, bottle 107
Really enjoy the agave and pepper found in this expression. They're are some repasodos at a lower price point that I like better but this is still very good.
This is for Barrel 3, Bottle 604 Nose: Cooked agave. I get a compound butter of orange and honey, a gentle sweetness, hints of clove and nutmeg. Wet cement following a rainstorm. Flavor: I get earthiness and caramel, sweet cooked agave, and light spice of peppercorn, cinnamon and allspice. A light vanilla custard. Finish: Not very long, it starts spicy and ends with a slight sweetness of dried fruit. Notes: This is an outstanding tequila. I believe this tequila can be very food friendly. For example, a grilled pork tenderloin with a sweet chili rub.
Barrel 3 Bottle 604 tasting with Don Heiser Barrel 1 Bottle 266, Score 89
Aroma : Light fruits, cinnamon, butter and baking spices alongside agave and earth and mineral notes. Taste : Black pepper, earth, and mixed nuts are contrasted with sweet cooked agave, caramel and dried fruits. The oily texture has a great balance that's just the right amount of sweet but earthy and spicy. Finish : Long, warm, and inviting, perfect for the fall season.
Barrel 3- Nice spice, fruit, wet cement/wet earth, fresh and sugary sweet, but so clean and more, with tons of deliciousness
Barrel 3 so your mileage may vary. Adding ASC barrel 8. Quite good
Limited release Reposado single barrel #2, bottle 549. Agave, rainwater, wet cement, cinnamon, pepper, and apple finish extremely smooth, balanced, and sweet—with nice legs. Very light and mineral, for blanco lovers.
This is amazing great job again from Felipe. Earthy, sweet, agave, well done. Lovely I don't know which one is better between the blanco and this one. This is a must have.
Barrel 3, Bottle 690. Color is light straw. Medium to medium heavy viscosity. Aroma is somewhat reminiscent of El Tesoro de Don Felipe reposado at first, but has greater depth I probably won't fully appreciate on this first pour. Flavor is amazing - excellent representation of a reposado where agave meets oak and both are in harmony. The sweetness is just to my liking (hard to describe). Finish is very good - not much alcohol, but some nice toasted oak notes that continue through. Purchased for $75USD; fitting for the range, quality, and uniqueness, but perhaps a bit much for a reposado, in general. All in all, an excellent addition to the Volans range.
No soy de reposados, pero sin duda es una de las mejores opciones en el mercado, a un precio accesible y hecho con mucho amor por el volans team y por el Ing. Felipe; nuevamente queda en manifiesto que con el Pandillo no hay pierde
Aromas of butterscotch, vanilla, baking spices, dried fruit, floral notes and wet earth. Rich, silky texture and nice butterscotch taste with a mineral, black pepper finish, typical of El Pandillo. Well balanced and complex. The kind of repo you make sure to have on your bar!
Lou goes crazy for the latest release from Volans - a Single Barrel Reposado.

Aroma: cooked agave, oak, earthy and a hint of smoke Taste: black pepper, cooked, agave, cinnamon with a long honey pepper finish. The quality of this reposado justifies the price. Barrel #4
