Nose was amazing but taste was not. Would only use as a mixer.

Classic reposado profile. Too bad it's diffused crap now.

The differences between the original Cazadores (made at NOM 1128) and the current version are so drastically different it’s impossible to compare them. This reposado is super vegetal, loaded with a celery aroma that I love. The flavor is legit real old school agave, vegetal, creamy goodness. Finish is fantastic, long enough for a nice trip down memory lane—before the diffuser process changed this product forevermore. If you see a bottle with "NOM 1128" on the label, my advice to you is BUY IT without hesitation.

Nose: Pumpkin, Sage, Agave, Mint, Rosemary, Vanilla, Orange Peel Mouthfeel: Light to Medium Bodied. Palate: Floral, Chamomile? Alcohol, Pumpkin Finish: Agave, Almond, Vanilla, Cream Soda What a very special sample I got from a friend here. I got notes that I rarely pick up on and a complexity that I do not find at all in current cazadores offerings (admittedly, I am not a fan of the more recent cazadores releases). With notes of pumpkin, sage and rosemary, in some small way this put me in an autumn spirit.

Tastes a little bit too much like Tequila neat or on ice.

Jug of 1.75 liters, 38% abv. Plastic twist cap with fun stopper, marbete is from year 2000. Color: just a tad of yellow. Aroma: sweet cooked agave! Slightly acidic, alcohol sensation is low, almost no vanilla notes, light wood notes, straightforward pure light agave sweetness, although not intense, it is subtle but doesn’t persist too long. A touch of citrus. Palate: sweet cooked agave, anise, a touch of wood note that doesn’t interfere, slightly acidic, good sweet and sour balance, fresh & crisp. Finish is medium to medium long, sweet cooked agave notes persist but is quite subtle.

Ok , so this review is from my just opened 1998 bottle . We’ve all heard the stories of this legend, pre Bacardi take over diffuser fuck up . Sorry, truth ! OMG the aroma is so strong and unique, then the taste . Truly like no other. Old school sweet agave, mint, anise, mineral . So so good . I had to open this treasure and glad I did .

If you find this bottle buy it!!! If it has the lid that has 4 square holes in it. These are the old school bottles of Cazadores. I haven’t seen one of these bottles in years.

Must be nom 1128.This is one I think is getting mixed up in reviews with Nom 1487 which sucks.Cazadores nom 1128 reposado is nice old school tequila.Simple profile but very good.Aroma of cooked agave,Alcohol,Vanilla and oak.Taste of Agave, vanilla, alcohol and oak.Finish is short, warm and sweet. This Tequila is in style of many older reposado.I recommend.Avoid nom 1487.Check your label to make sure it is nom 1128 and enjoy.

El tequila de batalla, fácil de conseguir y muy bueno para el precio. Usado para cocteles, pero suficientemente bueno para tomar directo.

Another good tequila in its price class. Fairly smooth. Nice aroma, ok to sip but good in a margarita. No harsh finish.
