Pleasantly surprised by this one. Light on barrel notes, minerality and citrus makes a nice combination of flavors.

Nose: cloves, allspice, cinnamon, cooked agave, cedar, and vanilla Flavor: agave, cinnamon, vanilla, butterscotch pudding, barrel notes, has oily mouth feel, and the sweetness of raw honeycomb Finish: nice medium finish, light spice and that honey sweetness follows

Nose: Not a blockbuster nose in terms of intensity. But very subtle and pleasing. Cinnamon & cloves, vanilla & butterscotch, minerals, a cedar and pine nuance with some pleasantly interesting butyric and lactic acid notes that recede as it opens up. Flavor: Kicky cinnamon and black pepper, almond and vanilla. Rich agave, honey like sweetness and mouth feel. Caramel with just a touch of bitters. Finish: Pepper heat, barrel spice, a bit of oak and caramel goodness make for a more than adequate finish.

Nice balance of sweet cooked agave and warm cinnamon. It's smooth, with just the right touch of barrel aging to enhance its inviting flavors. Short burn at the finish.

Took what I didn’t like in the blanco finish and polished it without over powering

Aroma is Lots of vanilla, cinnamon and some baking spice. A bit of ethanol kick but very pleasant. Palate is where the ethanol comes in, a bit harsh but settles away. Coats the mouth delightfully.

Lot: LCO280117RO, bottled on 28-01-2017, marbete is from 2014. Color: yellow. Aroma: sweet cooked agave, baked red apples with skin, light cinnamon, light vanilla and wood notes, slightly acidic, fresh & crisp. Palate: sweet cooked agave, all the aromas mentioned above appear either on the palate and/or retronasal. Very well balanced and pleasant to drink. Finish is medium to long, sweet cooked agave with baked red apples, vanilla and light wood notes persist.

$595 pesos at Cata in Tlaquepaque (May 2018). Mostly they're carrying Adictivo products which are all incredibly sweet. This is a beautiful change up to everything else they have. I found one of the staff was more interested in selling me collectible bottles. We almost didn't try this one. So glad we did.

It's organic so I'll give them a bit extra for this.
