Nose: cooked agave, spearmint, mineral, vegetal , and slight sweetness Flavor: very slight cooked agave, green bell pepper, floral essence of white pepper, and brine Finish: long, hot and black pepper spice, watery mouth feel and leaves the mouth numb.
Nose is faint but agave, and bell peppers work themselves out. The taste is better than I thought it was going to be but not great. Sweet melon, brine, mint, white pepper, caramelized agave. Medium mouth feel and a long spicy hot finish.
Minimal aroma, have to really focus to pick up mineral, herb, light cotton candy, and agave last. Watery and thin mouthfeel. Taste is peppery, slightly sweet and light grass with agave on end. Burn afterwards doused the flavor. Expected more from this one.
Aroma: grass, agave, fruits. Palate: peppers, grass, cooked agave, earth, sea salt, spearmint, olives. Finish is med to long with earth , agave, herbal notes but sweet.
This had a mossy, wet mushroom aroma that gave way to green pepper, strong thyme, mint and then cooked agave. On the palate had a lot of minerals/iron, raw and cooked agave, mint and medium to strong olive brine. The finish was unremarkable, short and somewhat bitter.
Rita's $18 Louisville
Slightly musty aroma that is strongly vegetal. Agave and a slight briny note (is it the brine I'm categorizing as musty??) are the most prevalent features. The flavor is sweet peppermint with just a bit of spice that builds in intensity...nice. Medium finish. This is a nice blanco but at the price point ($52) there are plenty of others I would choose first. 8/30/2015
Cooked agave, sweet mint taste and nose. Nice flavor, could have richer mouthfeel.
I rated this tequila blind during the Spirits of Mexico competition, 2013.
I like the funkiness in the nose. Nice cooked agave vegetal mineralty. The finish is long with a nice pepper.
Nose : Agave bomb , slight minerality , medicinal smell , Taste : strong agave , with artificial sweet taste , minerality , peppery not very complex . Ok tequila probably wouldn’t buy again though much better stuff at this price point .
Aroma: (21) Agave, Vegetal, Black Pepper, Brine Taste: (24) Agave & vegetal with black pepper notes Finish: (20) balanced agave but not lingering Overall: $40 Total Wine. Nice Blanco but will probably use more in cocktails than sipping.
Nose is cooked agave, brine and pepper. Taste is cooked agave, pepper and brine. The glass was a Chisholm Standard Proof Jarrito.
Agave and fruity aroma with lots of alcohol. Peppery and slightly sweet taste. Harsh finish.
I enjoyed the aroma more than the first sip. The second sip I found to be herbal with the taste of cinnamon and baking spices. I like the profile and I feel the value of this bottle increases its score.
agave up front, slight enjoyable burn at the end,
Aroma: briny roasted agave, black pepper, something sweet I can't quite put my finger on, maybe spearmint cookie, and has a bit of a savory note as well Palate: definitely an olive thing going on, roasted agave and black pepper are still there Finish: somewhat short, briny but slightly sweet
Nose: citrus, anise, mint, saline Palate: agave, white pepper, lemon peel (pith) wet stones. Medium + finish.
Agave and ethanol on the nose. Cooked agave and cinnamon along with pepper notes on the palate. I also get some minerality, which some may describe as “brine” or “salty”, so I’ll let you be the judge. This is a surprisingly good celebrity (Comedians Ron White & Alex Reymundo) tequila, and while not on the TMM additive free list, I have zero indication of anything stupid being added to this blanco (the website advertises this as additive free and no use of diffusers at the distillery). Probably the most enjoyable celebrity tequila I’ve ever had!
Agave, lemon citrus, and pepper forward. Overall not bad. I think the lemony citrus is just a bit too much. Works pretty well in a margarita, but it had me wondering if I put a lemon or lime in it. It seems to enhance the lemon flavor. Still enjoyable though. The price is just a bit steep though to make it a regular.
brine and an underripe/green agave note are at the front of the nose, followed closely by white pepper. Some sweetness on the palate, quite a sharp finish.
My initial concern was the variability in bottles. I must have gotten a good bottle. The main highlight is the brine with citrus. It is true that there is agave, cinnamon, and pepper but brineiness and citrus come through later. This is a nice “gateway “ tequila.
Solid mix of vegetal and minerality. Well balanced and soft, but relative short finish.
It’s one of the first tequilas I’ve ever tried and I fell in love immediately! Still one of my top ones but I have noticed what others talked about with this vegetal funk. Ordered a bottle back in January and it had that taste. I swore it tasted different in a better way about a year ago. Did they change recipe? Maybe. UPDATE 4-1-23 Bought a bottle (LTL149) and it has that classic taste I remember and love!! I’m thinking that it just depends on the batches (duh) which is great news because all natural tequilas and each batch are unique in their own ways! 81–> 83

Number Juan Tried this flight in Dec 2018 when I met Alex in Vegas. UPDATE: I'm not sure which lotes I tried 3 yrs ago, but sounds like those batches were better than what some others tasted more The entire line is decent. I liked the repo best. blanco a little hot, anejo a little more oaky.
