No bueno
Aroma of cooked agave and black pepper. Flavor of cooked agave, pear and black pepper. Pleasant medium finish.
These newer ones in the cardboard box are barely drinkable. Hard pass.
Earth, soil, black pepper and a slight rubber-like aroma. Nice solid mouthfeel and natural agave sweetness. (Tasted blind.)
Pepper, chemical, and short of agave on the nose and paled.
Too bad it has that chemical nose, it really starts this off on the wrong foot. Lots of black pepper and mango, it falls off pretty quick but possesses a flavour profile that will likely appeal to novices tequila drinkers.
Nose: Minerals, agave, candy like tutti fruity sweetness and a bit of citrus. Flavor has some syrupy sweet overtones, bitterness and back end pepper. Finish has an odd aftertaste element. Unremarkable.
nice smoky agave aroma. spicy, but not aggressive or overwhelming. subtly strong scent. mildly spicy on the tongue, hint of butter and citrus with a fast and easy follow through finish. oyamel washington, DC $15 very nice sipping tequila.
Overly sweet, though has some agave present. Overall slightly above average and not excited about it being the baseline
the aroma is very light, the flavour is completely different than what you'd expect. a lot of bite at the beginning then thins out a lot on the finish. not a bad selection.
Out w/ friends…. Not awful, certainly in a class above their basic Silver.
Quiet nose more spice than sweet, a hint of tictacs Oily mouthfeel with some nice dryness like you’d get with tannins, feels good on the palate - my tongue likes it There are some subtle flavors I can’t put names to Finishes quietly leaving a little ethanol and a bit of sour. Dry

LOT: 12/19 Qualified blindly in tasting between: Reserva de los González blanco and Casa Dragones blanco. View: Completely transparent, good tear adhesion to the glass. Freshly served; Aroma: It has a chemical component that stands out immediately, a bit like nail varnish or acetone. I think that behind that strong chemical smell I can distinguish a bit of raw agave and herbaceousness, but it is difficult to detect. Flavor: that chemical component is also in the flavor. Behind the chemical is a bit of sweetness from the agave. I don't notice too much complexity in the flavor, just those two profiles, first chemical and then slightly sweet. There is a light citrus aftertaste, a little orange peel. I let it rest for 10 minutes to oxygenate and open up flavors and aromas: Aroma: The chemical component is still very present and does not allow you to smell beyond it. Flavor: It tastes like what it smells like, it is difficult to find any agave flavor, minerals or other components. It's not disgusting but it doesn't taste good either.
Aroma: notes of agave, vanilla, cinnamon and pepper Taste: notes of agave, vanilla, pineapple, pear and pepper Finish: bit harsh
Chemical
Really did not love this. Burned on the exhale. An odd smell and taste

Bottled: 21-IX-15, Bottle No. 02909 Aroma: Bright ripe and sweet garden fruits, apples, pears even with a hint of banana. Clean destillate with no faults. Palate: Very smooth and sweet agave. Juicy, alcohol at first almost not detectable. Very clean. Finish: Long with fruity sweetness on the tongue. Hope there is no added sugar. Conclusion: A very mild and mellow, sweet and smooth spirit with fruits and agave on the forefront. No smoke or alcohol. Obviously made for neat use. Perhaps a bit too flat. Some minerality and terroir is missing here. Still a decent value. What’s annoying is the wax above the stopper which is very hard to remove. Need to take care that no wax is getting into the glass. Update: I’ve made a couple of cocktails with this one and have to say I’m positively surprised how good it works. It adds a noticeable kick of fruity agave and earthy mineralisation which I didn’t recognise neat. Very good!
Good cooked agave aroma. Earthy and peppery with hints of vanilla. Good finish.
Exciting to try a premier tequila from such a well known brand such as Jose. This tequila is good bit doesn’t come near the quality of a patron or don Julio. Overall a fun experience though!
Light citrus notes, refreshing
Notes of black pepper and clove and agave

Bottle is dated 10/X/07 and is a first release. This tastes very sweet and has an unnatural finish. It’s sad that even 17 years ago JC was manipulating the flavor of what was a premium release instead of relying on the natural agave sweetness. Sigh… This was suggested by the app which has really run out of recommendations for me.
