I once had a homebrew jalapeño-infused tequila that I found completely off-putting—far too hot and overwhelming. This time around, though, this infused tequila has truly changed my perspective. The aroma is surprisingly enticing with its fresh, vegetal jalapeño character and earthy tones, all while a fresh petrichor note lingers in the background. The taste is bold and spicy, yet fresh, with a distinct hint of cheese. Just as the heat begins to seem like too much, it eases slightly but never completely fades. The heat stays with you throughout the entire experience, sticking to the tongue in a way that's both exciting and lasting. While I wouldn’t sip it neat regularly, and I feel it deserves a category of its own, I’d gladly welcome it into a spicy margarita, repeatedly.
12/2023 NOM 1551 I'm rating this in a cocktail, not as a sipping tequila. I found it quite enjoyable
spot on jalapeno on the nose but not sure how I feel about flavored tequila. it definitely has some spice to it as well. interesting but not my cup of tea
NOM 1437 | Would be good in a margarita. Smell is of jalapeños but not bad.
Fun to make jalapeño margaritas. But I am not sipping this stuff.
NOM 1551 | Great tequila for mixing a spicy drink with. By itself, it’s only meh, with a finish of jalepeño at the end. Not too spicy if you’re used to spice period. A good mild version that can stand out in drinks like a mango margerita. Compared to other “spicy” alcohols, this is a good 55/45 favoring tequila over jalepeño flavor. Good price for product though
NOM 1551 | This is a big NEGATORY for me. Tastes do differ and I prefer my tequila to taste like agave. This is not that. Their regular blanco is very good, but this flavor would likely work better in a cocktail…not straight. The jalapeño overpowers any agave flavor.
NOM 1551 | You buy this tequila knowing it’s well made and additive free infusion to be mixed in a margarita/cocktail. For that purpose it’s unique in the market and efficient for those who don’t want to be muddling away and want consistency. I wouldn’t buy any other infused tequila other than Tanteo because they suck and not what I would consider drinkable even in a mixed drink.
NOM 1551 | Perfect for marg otr. Nice infusion
Had this one chilled. Higher score for the fresh and strong aroma and cheap at the bar I had it. Nice bite, not hot, but very flavorful. I will repeat.
Not for sipping but can be added in a margarita. Need a small amount to not it overpower the drink.
Bit spicy
NOM 1551 | Smooth but not spicy fresh cut jalapeño flavor.
Had a very small sample at a bar, so can’t really rate on aroma and price. Not overly spicy at all. I’d call it a very pleasant mixture of agave and jalapeño. I bet it makes a fantastic mixer and I’d definitely drink it again neat.
Deliciois
Smells like simulated jalapeno potato chips. Vegetal, bell pepper as well. Fairly spicy as should be considering the infusion. Trying my 2nd flavoured tequila and overall pretty decent. They got this infusion right.
Back end mild heat
NOM 1437 | Super Jalepeño scent and spice. It should more subtle for my taste.
NOM 1551 | I can sip on this but I love spice, agave snd Jalapeño on the nose, medium mouth fill taste of agave jalapeño finish is medium to long and it burns just right
More vegetal jalapeño aroma than straight spice/heat. Great for mixing.
NOM 1551 | Aroma of fresh jalapeño. I love how they capture the flavor of the jalapeño and not just the spice. Easily the best way to make a spicy margarita.
NOM 1551 | Oh my gosh. I’m so embarrassed. I bought an airplane bottle out of curiosity. This stuff filled the room with jalapeño aroma when I opened it. It followed up with destroying my ability to smell and taste. It ruined a nice Friday night. I took one for the team. Please forgive my impulsiveness. I do like the blanco. Those people rating in the 90s are idiots. Can I say that here?
Smells amazing but I did not enjoy as a shot or even in a mixed drink, although I love spicy everything! May be good to cook with

It’s an actually really balanced infused tequila.
