Great varietal nose. Makes me want to sniff it more than I drink it. Flavor very weak at first then a bit of agave and hint of herbs but it never really catches up to, or pays off like the nose alludes to. Low burn. Overall, great for the price and not any more than I expected but I wouldn't kick her our of bed. A good mid-lower rung in a flight for friends who aren't seasoned.

NOSE- Spice, butterscotch, light caramel, oak, raisen fruit presence. TASTE- Sweet, fruit raisen, seems somewhat natural, and some alcohol.

Not much agave in the aroma plenty oak. The taste is good, fun and cinnamony. The finish is good with a small amount of burn.

Nice dark golden color. Get caramel, vanilla, butter, oak, pepper and butterscotch aroma than follows the flavor. No burn, no alcohol, nice peppery finish. Is lacking something but overall is a nice añejo

Oak and caramel with a touch of vanilla. Very smooth with a medium finish. Unfortunately, the agave seems to have been lost in the process.

A solid sippable añejo from Destiladora Gonzales. Caramel and barrel spice make it pleasant to sip and savor.

This is one of most underrated tequilas. Outstanding aroma, flavor and finish. This is my go to product to introduce friends to a quality Anejo tequila. A must have in your collection.

NOM 1603 | Nose: Agave and hints of vanilla Taste: Very agave-forward, more alcohol than expected Finish: Surprisingly smooth given the heavier alcohol taste. The agave hangs around just long enough to be appreciated. Overall: Was hoping for more barrel notes or varietal flavors given the Añejo aging, but surprisingly smooth and a great bargain for only $40. Very tequila-forward

Nose: butterscotch, caramel, root beer, cinnamon strudel Palate: vanilla, pepper, agave, oak. Not as hot as the blanco.

No hint of additives or bitterness. An anejo at this price and profile makes this an easy one to keep in stock. There is deeper wood and slight caramel on the palate. The repo is good too and I can’t tell which one I like better.

This is by far the best tasting tequila I've tried thus far. The finish is amazing. If you've never tried el mayor, do yourself a favor and get it now. my new favorite.

NOM 1603 | Definitely sweet taste. Not so much agave. Smells more like alcohol than other añejos I've had. Probably not recommending but good for the price of $40

NOM 1603 | Have to agree a little with the aftertaste being a bit on the chemical side. Strong kick. Decent aroma but mild

Robust aroma with moderate to heavy alcohol/chemical notes. Smooth sipper with balanced mouth feel and not much flavor. Finish has a spicy kick and lingering aftertaste is not pleasant. Average overall experience at a bargain price.

Slightly woody on the nose with ripe red fruit, vanilla and butterscotch. Decent blend of barrel notes/spice, red fruit and caramel. A little thin and a bit harsh going down. Satisfying for its value.
