lote #80, bottle 335 of 1365 Nose- agave bubblegum vanilla Taste - cooked agave bubblegum vanilla
Lot 81
Lote 81. Though not one of the earlier cherished lotes, this is very, very good.
Lot #79 43% ABV Dark rich copper color. Long, thick slow lágrimas. Initial oak notes recede quickly giving way to baked agave, vanilla, a pungent fruit undercurrent, and barrel spices. Fruit, nuts, agave and round wood meld into a complex nosing experience. Palate: Bold pepper and spice blast. Woody whiskey notes, wood resin, grapefruit like sensation and caramel coalesce. For my tastes, a little overbearing on the oak....
Very strong nose, cherry and brandy. Medium pepper and very clean finish.
Lot #12. Bottle 432/490. One of the original seven lots. Aroma is rather mellow. There is still agave flavor, but it seems the aging was not right when bottled. There is a light vinegary taste. Sadly, at the price point offered for this bottle, it is not something I would buy again. Lots 17 and 71 were far superior.
Really old, Lot 17 Vessel: Reidel Tequila Flute Nose: Butterscotch, Honey, Oak, Cinnamon, Cooked and Raw Agave, Pumpkin Seed, Whisper of Malolactic notes. Mouthfeel: Medium-Bodied Palate: Cinnamon, Black Pepper, Coffee, Dark Chocolate, Toffee Finish: Butter, Toffee, Nutmeg, Carmel This lot 17 Chinaco Xa was delicate and extraordinary. The oak was very present and the complexity took center stage. This was sweet and robust. I got alpha notes of Coffee, Caramel, Toffee, Cinnamon and Nutmeg, while I picked you on slightly more subtle notes of Agave, Honey and Pumpkin seed. All in all, this was a very special sip sent from a friend. one that will not soon be forgotten. Salud!
Nose: sweet but very grassy Finish: dry and woody
Lot: L87, acquired on June 2019. Color: slightly dark yellow. Aroma: sweet cooked agave, very light wood vanilla and caramel notes that feel natural and doesn’t cover up agave notes, not very complex but aromatic, alcohol sensation is medium. Palate: sweet cooked agave, good sweet & sour balance, light vanilla and wood notes, warming. A slightly metallic note can be perceived on retronasal but doesn’t bother. Finish is medium to long, the sweet cooked agave, vanilla and oak notes persist and is satisfying.
Light noise, not overly sweet but refreshing. You can feel the heat a bit but not overpowering and doesn’t linger. A bit oaky, slight smoke, not sweet. Can still taste the agave. Very enjoyable to drink!
Lot 85 Bottle 381/1225
Very good tequila with notes of cooked agave, Mexican hot chocolate, cinnamon, anise, pepper, caramel, melons, green Chiles, butterscotch, bananas, pineapples, Canteloupes, and maple syrup.
Oak flavor, excellent nose. Not sweet and the agave comes through with a quality taste. One of my favorites
what amazes me about this product is the fact that you can taste exactly what you smell, worth it the price.
Very intense, woody, pear, floral, bright and with a good snappy bite.
I bought this bottle based on the raving reviews. Needles to say, I had very high expectations when I opened this bottle the first time and unfortunately I was absolutely disappointed when I tasted it. The absolute dominant taste is like dish washing soap, it's so bad that I believe that I bought a faulty bottle.... It's almost undrinkable, no way that this stuff gets consistently ratings in the 80 and 90th...im not going to buy another bottle to find out if it's realy a faulty bottle, I probably will not find another one anyways... I was searching for a bottle of this spirit for over 2 years and finally found it at a liqueur store in Guadalajara Mexico.
Best tequila I ever had.
The best of the 250 ???????? class Clean crisp balanced Spicy with tons of white pepper This is the Shiraz of tequila Love it !
I thoroughly enjoyed this tequila
Tasted at Just Tacos restaurant and bar in Oahu, Hawaii in a wine glass. Wow, this one is interesting. Aroma is potent, very strong, almost methanol smell, but without the nose burn. Fist sip was super smooth going down, then followed immediately by an explosive sensation, Interesting. Once it opened up, the explosive sensation went away, and was left with a nice spice and cinnamony slight burn. Overall, very good! A
A bit too smokey for me, I prefer resposados

Lot 17 Nose: Funk from the white pepper, oak, citrus, minerals, and cherries. Palate: Black pepper, oak, alcohol, very little agave Finish: Some heat in the chest (similar to whiskey) and slight burn on the tongue
