https://cambiotequila.com/spare-change/our-new-flagship-anejo-and-why-barreling-is-crucial-to-tequilas-future/?_newblogfilter=tequila-talk This link describes in much detail the process and the reasoning behind the brand and this product. Did they accomplish what they set out to do? I think so, not many 49% Añejo products in the market, so this is a real treat at that ABV. It reminds me on the nose of some older Tears of Llorona with pineapple icon that I sipped at NYE. Sipping this though is a bit more of a punch in the mouth than the 43% ToL. Nice extended bite on the finish and the tongue is fully involved with caramel, vanilla, roast agave, and the different French Oaks used.
