NOM 1258 | Tasted at “Mexico In A Bottle” S.F. 2024 I was impressed by this tasting and will get a full bottle soon to give a more informed rating description. Update Jan 2025: Though I didn’t let this rest after opening the bottle, upon a pour and quick summary, aroma oozes with petrichor, anise and hay that is very pleasing to me. There is a prominent note of lime citrus, with miniscule brine, ethyl, blanketed with an organic waxiness that makes me think of plant matter, perhaps it is the aroma of fresh agave with a bit of tang and cinnamon. The taste is straightforward with agave, distinct cinnamon, petrichor, anise, nuttiness, lime/orange citrus, black pepper, prune, slight dill, mint with an herbal quality. A bit of sweet tanginess linger on the tongue with a vegetal note while the other flavor compositions are fleeting and thin. I can appreciate that trailing ethyl isn’t prominent for me in the finish as well.

Valley tequila on the nose and palate. Cooked agave, citrus, brine, herbs and pepper. Taste has plenty of spicey elements that linger on the tongue so it was surprisingly lacking heat on the way down. Nice drink though.

NOM 1258 | I really like this one. I got a great smell of cooked agave citrus aroma and some faint cinnamon. I did also after waiting a little while got a little bit of that wet concrete smell. On the taste I was really impressed with the taste of agave the citrus and the cinnamon that I got in the finish . This was a very clean fresh Blanco definitely a good drinker!

NOM 1258 | Nose has a very clean citrus aroma, faint cinnamon Taste furthers the citrus and cinnamon with a very clean water that has a nice velvety texture. Some spice n herb tones. Very nice blend. Flavors bounce all around with every sip. Mid length finish with zest

Just had this for the first time. It was recommended to me by the bartender at Don Artemio in Fort Worth. He gave me samples of three different Mezcals. This one had a unique flavor so I chose it. It took me a second to figure out the aroma and taste. It has a very clean aroma and a very smooth taste. I finally figured it out that it has an apple and a fresh fruit taste and aroma. This is different than most of the citrus aroma and flavors that you pick up in a lot of mezcal. Smooth drinking, clean taste, and great finish. I would recommend and buy again.
