Nose: agave/ earth/ pepper / pear /banana / citrus / lemongrass/ spearmint/ lavender/ salt Taste: sweet agave / cinnamon/ vanilla/ banana/ pineapple/ lime/ anise/ spearmint/ alcohol Finish: clean/ watery wet /bright and crisp finish/ sweet cinnamon and fruit lingering for a short bit at final swallow…cinnamon throughout the sip This plata is so sweet and refreshing. It’s like having a nice cool glass of sweet water that goes down smooth and leaves you wanting more.
Another 1414 Sergio Cruz gem. Similar in a lot of ways to Los Dos. The nose is stronger with mineralality and earthiness. I am getting vegetal and citrus. The taste is beautiful cooked agave with citrus notes. I am getting vanilla, and cinnamon. There is mineralality along with mint. Great mouthfeel with a slight alcohol burn. For an under $40 tequila this is hard to beat. I highly recommend.
Nice agave nose, bright and clean. Palate is easy going with signature 1414 flavor. Slight pepper kicks in right at the finish. An easy going sipper. I like it and it’s a fair price.
This tequila looks like it’s going to have a great mouthfeel. It’s coating the glass nicely and producing pearls, tears and nice legs. The nose is fragrant and full of fresh agave, minerals and some faint lime zest. There’s also a very light floral note. On the palate the agave is very prominent as are many Sergio Cruz produced blancos / platas. The lime zest and minerality are accompanied by some cooked agave sweetness before the white pepper kicks in. The pepper lingers nicely all while still tasting the agave and natural sweetness. This is a clean and easy sipping tequila that packs enough of an agave punch to also stand up in cocktails. Vintage: May 2023
NOM 1414. Sweet cooked agave with a melon-like fruit on the nose. Cooked agave, and lite white pepper fades to a refreshing, slightly sweet finish.
Sept 26, 2023 NOM 1414 when first opened, the nose shows minerality, grassy notes, vegetal and brine with lactic notes and yeast. let it sit 30 mins or so and it opens up. the agave comes thru. on the palate - agave, mint, dried fruit, citrus and mild cracked pepper. there's even a hint of chocolate on the finish. This is a very enjoyable sipper. I'm pleased with the move to NOM1414.
Mineral and delicious! Distillery switch is a strong move.
Nose: Yeasty, with a subtle sulfurous nuance - not at all unpleasant - unique. Orange/lime citrus twists. Cinnamon, powdered cloves and allspice. Rich, warm agave tones with hints of tropical fruit and coconut. Flavor: Cinnamon, vanilla bean, salted butterscotch. Followed up with cracked pepper heat, building in intensity on its tail. Velvety viscosity. Fruity rum vibes. Dark chocolate/coffee on the fade out. Priced right. This will please a variety of palates. Making #1414 their new home was a great move.
I’m excited to receive a complimentary bottle of this reboot of the Plata at NOM 1414. Lots of market speak in the advertising online but most of the hyperbole is legit for this product to my taste. Agave on the nose, tons of fruit in the mouth and roast agave on the palate. This has quite the lower lip numb that gives this a punch in your mouth effect that I don’t usually see in a 40% ABV product. Nice finish with a good amount of pepper and ethanol to carry that punchy taste. I’m in love with the result of the blend of yeast for fermentation and the cuts done during distillation. For now this is reasonably priced…seek some.
1414. Delightful and Minerals, mint, raw agave on nose. Considerable mouthfeel for a blanco. Luscious and thick. Minerals, gravel, mint, jalapeño flavors. A bit of white pepper. A little hot at 40 ABV. Lingering finish. Would be outstanding in a ranch water. Very solid expression, if not particularly novel.
Aroma: Mineral, earthy, subtle agave bomb, and caramelized sweetness, olive (briny), herbal, vegetal, grass and white pepper Taste: Cooked agave that just coats your mouth instantly with a buttery texture while showcasing a crisp framework. Complimented by fruity notes of green apple, pear and caramelized fruits. Honey, olive, and mineral nuances are present Price: TBD - Market Launch Coming Soon
Beautiful clean crisp nose, mineral strong. Sweet agave, the well water is very present. Spice, mint, citrus, a slight funk, despite the Mozart fermentation! Aftertaste is strong and stays longer. With a tart staple. Good sipper .
Notes of caramel, pepper, vanilla on the nose. Decent to sip straight but there is a burn going down. Tasted the caramel and pepper going down . Mixes well in a mixed drink. Price point is decent if you’re looking to try something new.
I had a lot of agave on the nose and some floral. On the palette I had cooked agave and some fruit. The finish was very fruity and excellent. Sergio and Alex did great on this one.
agave forward, slightly sweet, peppery finish
Wonderful aroma, earthy , vegetal, agave, so nice. Flavour is complex vegetal with very nice minerality. Finish goes on for days. Excellent blanco. Only complaint is the cork is suspect and a little leaky and weak.
Great white pepper on the palate. Nice sweetness. slight vegetal notes, long finish.
earth and smoke
I tasted this one at a store tasting. They did not have any bottles of it in store yet. I will commit more after my bottle comes in!
On the nose - cooked agave & cinnamon, an earthiness & minerals, citrus & a vegetal-tropical fruit note, light black pepper & mint (like a spearmint). On the palate - mirrors the aromas with light cooked agave sweetness, cinnamon, fruity-vegetal & citrus notes, spearmint, a bit of anise-like bitterness (but not unpleasant) balancing out the sweetness, & a stronger peppery kick on the finish. The minerals & earthiness are also present. Siempre Plata is a great sipper & will make great cocktails. The tequila has a great viscous body, coating the glass well, has a medium finish of a mix of pepper, anise, & sweetness, & good mouthfeel & body on the palate. Let it open up in the glass for 15-20 minutes.
So easy to drink a whole bottle without realizing. it's perfect, flavorful and very smooth.
Lovey minty nose with a fresh grassy palate and long peppermint finish. Nice fresh Blanco.
Alocohol Fruity Agave
Traces of a crisp red apple on the nose alongside pineapple of course, agave upfront some nice funk on the pallet funk without being too funky. The longer you sit on it and let it air out. It gets better. Very overall enjoyable.

Another great example by Sergio and the team at Siempre, citrus, pepper, sweet cooked agave, really shine
