Nose: Sweet lemon pepper with mild herbal characteristics. Floral undertones with rose and lavender. Palate: Great mouth feel and texture. Mild numbing. Sweet Agave, lemon citrus which evolves into a peppery and spicy finish. Vanilla and oak presence. Very nice mouth feel and natural sweetness. Mild numbing and drying effect. Great pour!
Nice nose with little barrel, palate isn’t bad but not my profile
AgedAgave Select Barrel
Very nice repo with great barrel notes. Maybe it is the three barrels but it really brings forward the barrel spices. Nice cooked agave on the nose as well as a floral scent. The taste also brings forward the cooked agave, the barrel spices, cinnamon and a nice honey finish. The finish is rather long lasting with a nice agave presence.
Love this brand! Everything they make is delicious, and this reposado meets that expectation. This reposado is delicious! give it time to open up. it gets better and better. The nose is amazing! cooked agave, barrel spices, some cinnamon, floral and fruity. The palate is agave forward, barrel spices, anise, cinnamon and mild oak, which I like as I'm not a fan of overly oaky expressions, and this has just the right amount for me. The Finish is nice and long with warmth, sweet agave and anise. Chava, Steve and the crew hit another one out of the park with this one!
Nose: agave, dried stone fruit, vanilla, cinnamon, floral, and brine Flavor: cooked agave, anise bitterness, vanilla, baking spices, cinnamon, earthy, caramel and honey Finish: long with some spice and sweetness
I love Repos that taste more like a blanco than an Anejo (minimal oak). This repo with a mix of barrels has just enough oak influence to remind you this is not a blanco. Cinnamon and agave sweetness followed by that Michoacán spice I love.
A beautiful blend of three barrels, cooking, spice, dried fruit, light layer of caramel, vanilla and cinnamon. A slight brine and earthy notes. Lingering finish.
Nose is blanco+. Tons of agave character. Incredible flavor. Subtle sweetness and beautiful balance. Long finish, especially for the relatively minimal aging. This is a blanco-lovers reposado, and one of my new all-time favorites.
Floral mineral aromas with a touch of leather. Flavors of sweet agave, cinnamon, honey, salt water, slight anise. Great legs. Barely any oak, nice and light for a Reposado. Excellent!
Nose: you get the agave, baking spice, cinnamon, vegetal scents, light barrel notes. Palate: Agave, black pepper, cinnamon, baking spices, oak, cinnamon Finish: Better tasting repos out there IMO, slight burn, feel in my chest still burning.
SiB Tributo a Mi Abuelo.
Aroma: Agave, Floral, Minty, Vanilla, Cinnamon, Oak, Herbal, Minerals, Fruity Earthy,White Pepper Taste: Agave, Fruity, Floral, Vanilla, Mint, Herbal, Oak, Anise, Minerals, Earthy, White Pepper Finish: Very nice, sweet Agave, Vanilla, Cinnamon, Light Oak, with some Fruity and Floral notes ride this out. This, in my opinion, is the best Reposado coming out of 1123 as a normal offering!
This is an exceptional Repo. Great depth of flavor and complexity. Nice value too.
Appearance: Classy. A lighter yellow than the typical deep amber of a lot of repos. This is the yellow of a high quality piece of gold jewelry you inherited from your grandmother. You know, the kind that was made before they watered the gold down. Aroma: This smells like the kind of tropical vacation that reminds you what you work for the rest of the year. Deceptively carefree up front with the promise of some heat on the backend that could make your toes curl. The punch of banana hits hard at first giving one the briefest false sense that this is all she’s going to give, but then it’s quickly followed by loads of light citrus and fresh agave. It finishes with some warm earthy notes and a kiss of spicy cinnamon. The bottom line: She’s a beaut Clark! What an enjoyable sip. Very light on the front end and, just as the smell suggests, finishes with a spicy hot kiss. The flavors linger a while, making your mouth water and lips tingle. As they begin to fade you get the faintest sensation of fresh flowers at the back of your nose. This is no ordinary love em and leave em vacation fling. This is the promise of a most unexpected long term relationship.
Bottle: Lote 470, 051223 Appearance: Apricot yellow Nose: Cooked agave, flowers, orange blossom, honeysuckle, vanilla, minerality, wet cement, butter, cinnamon, baking spices, citrus, orange, butterscotch, oak, honey, alcohol, herbal, melaleuca oil, eucalyptus, and black pepper…floral, herbal, and marvelous Palate: Cooked agave, leather, baking spice, cinnamon, black and white pepper, oak, alcohol, clove, nutmeg, baking spice, anise, olive, brine/salinity, rosemary, dry earth, minerality, raisin, and barrel spice…an unexpected, but welcome departure from the nose Finish: Cinnamon, butter, flowers, alcohol, and barrel spice…a suitably long and warming finish Overall: I mean, wow. It’s thick and sweet like honey, but dry and tannic like wine, while also floral and herbaceous without overpowering the cooked agave. It’s complicated, but still somehow so easy to drink and gets more enjoyable with every sip.
Very cooked agave forward just like any other tequilas made in Nom 1123. Smell: cooked agave, butterscotch, caramel Taste: cooked agave, butterscotch, fruity and floral
LOTE 470 #051223 This should be a standard for what a good tequila stands for. Smell of flowers and fruit. Taste of agave, honey and light caramel. Beautiful. Much Love to 1123!
El Gran Legado should be the gold standard for Blanco's and Repo's. It is a beautiful agave forward bomb. If you want to taste agave like it came out of the oven, this is it. It is really amazing. True expression of a agave forward tequila with beautiful barrel notes. On the nose... sweet AGAVE, cinnamon, caramel, vanilla, vegetal. On the pallet... it bursts with agave. No harsh ethanol . Beautiful cinnamon, caramel and vanilla. Barrel does not overpower the agave in any way. It it complex and full bodied for front to finish. Finish is long and amazing. Highly highly recommend.
Aroma: agave, floral and oak Taste: oak and agave Finish is very smooth
Start with a clean blanco and age it for a short time in American oak and you get this perfection. Cinnamon, Carmel and floral notes behind a strong agave palate. Smooth, slight burn on the back of the tongue. Creamy and rich aftertaste. Nicely done by NOM 1123
3/14/24, ordered from Sip a couple of months ago, forgot to rate. Light on the nose, slight leather & light agave; Honey, almond, sweet agave across the front; Slight vanilla, dried fruit on the backend; At $80USD, this is a pretty good value;
Nose: sweetenes on the nose, vanilla, butterscotch Mouth feel: pleasant, oily Taste: sweetness in the front, black pepper, faint oak Finish: low heat, tingly tongue, pepper lingers

Nose: agave cooked / vanilla/ pepper/ earth / vegetal / pear / citrus / bell pepper/ tea / baking spice Taste: agave cooked / vanilla/ peppermint/ cinnamon/ pear / lime / anise / tea / baking spice / honey / molasses/ cream soda Finish: light viscosity mouthfeel that allows the peppermint note to coat the palate at the finish creating a very enjoyable experience/ lingering agave, vanilla, and peppermint keep on providing flavor for long after the last swallow This reposado is a very nice pour that brings forth some balance but still lets the sweet/pepper contrast play out through the whole tasting experience. The nose seems weak, but there are detectable aromas that match up on the flavor well.
