lots of barrel spices coming thru with a little heat (it's 44 abv), some caramel and vanilla with some pepper on the finish. sweetness, more like caramel and maple. nice viscosity. dry, medium finish. i believe whiskey/bourbon drinkers will enjoy this.

Notes: agave cooked / vanilla/ caramel/ oak / cinnamon/ earth / banana/ pear / tangerine/ hint of lime / hay / tea/ rose / nutmeg/ chocolate/ molasses/ cream soda Taste: sweet agave cooked / vanilla / cinnamon/ caramel / banana/ pear / apple / anise / orange peel/ lime / spearmint/ bell pepper / tea / nutmeg/ chocolate/ honey / molasses/ cream soda Finish: nearly watery wet mouthfeel, but has enough viscosity to keep the great flavors trapped for a few seconds before the lingering sweet, vanilla, cinnamon dissipate leaving a bittersweet and minty final swallow. This anejo has a ton of great bold flavors. There is the slightest bittersweet aftertaste that isn’t enjoyable, but it doesn’t deter from the rest of the delicious experience of this pour. Lots of sweet notes like barrel vanilla and caramel make this some very sweet juice.

Great nose, dried fruit, spice, pleasing flavor profile, nice mouth feel. Love the 44 ABV. A little sweeter than I like. Would of liked to see some more cooked agave notes. As always such a beautiful bottle. Great gift for those bourbon dtinkers in your life

Aroma is hot, more so than the flavor and finish, very spicy, peppery, flavor is a little muted in comparison. Nice finish.

Sampled at a local liquor store. More enjoyable than the 40% añejo.

Nose: Tangerine, Rose, Orange Blossom, Toffee, Smoke, Chamomile Body: Medium Palate: Orange, Cinnamon, Black Pepper, Oregano Finish: Orange Peel, Black Pepper, Cinnamon, Vanilla, Spearmint Cabal Anejo 44 is possibly the most unique Añejo I've ever tried. There are not a lot of Carmel or Oak here.. other aged notes, like vanilla and cinnamon, were present, but they seemed to take the back seat and let the citrus, floral, and few herbal notes do the driving. At the end of the day, whether you love it or hate this one, the complexity here makes it hard to accuse this Añejo of not being memorable.

it's a good Anejo but has a sweet honey candied taste to it. Beautiful bottle.

LOTE10ACAB, acquired on November 2023, tasted on 12-3-23. Color: light yellow to dark yellow. Aroma: light cooked agave with light sweetness, hint of vanilla, fruity sweetness, light citrus, a hint of metallic aroma that doesn’t bother and dissipates as time goes by, baked red apples with cinnamon. A hint of wood note. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, wood note is more noticeable on the palate, although not dominating but it does mask some of the other aromas perceived. Finish is medium to long, a hint of sweet cooked agave with vanilla, citrus and light wood notes persist.

Toasted oak & smokiness, citrus, baking spices on the nose. Initially on the palette, light citrus, dark fruit, toasted oak, & baking spices, predominantly cinnamon. Flavors that followed after sipping a bit longer were caramel & espresso. Finish is long, warm and earthy. At 44% ABV this Añejo has a punch of flavor. There’s definitely a barrel influence from the Woodford Reserve, Buffalo Trace and Old Forester barrels. Delicious! Perfect for the bourbon drinker transitioning into tequila.
