The plata was drinkable although a bit overpriced. I couldn’t recommend this repo. Nose is blah without much character and the palate is muddled and has no great qualities. This one is a pass for me

Barrel forward profile, price is too high.

On the nose I get cooked agave that’s been aged in American white oak barrels (ex bourbon barrel). That agave / barrel sweetness is aromatic. There’s some spice from the barrel and some pleasant earthy mineral density. I get some orange candy before a light floral note that turns fruity. I taste the sweet cooked agave that has a caramel note along with some prominent barrel spices. There some cinnamon and brown sugar that appear before a peppery and vegetal note. It’s roasted jalapeños and black pepper. The finish is full of lingering sweet agave and earthy pepper with a nice alcohol presence and orange citrus zest. This Reposado has the nice agave punch from the Plata but it adds some fun notes from the barrel aging. The price is an issue but the juice is good!

On the nose I get some cooked agave a little herbal and mineral. The taste there is some spice from the barrel and some earthy mineral and a light floral note that turns fruity. I also taste the sweet cooked agave and a very light caramel note along with some barrel spices. . The finish has an earthy pepper with a nice alcohol presence. Pretty good repo. The bottle brings a high price but is cool.

Soft nose. Some buttercream sweetness and dried fruit, but I also get some dust and wet-dog. Pale straw color. Creamy mouthfeel. Baking spices, wood, leather, pepper. Sharp pepper-bite in the finish. Interesting bottle but a bit of a disappointing sipper for me.

BEST surprise ever! At first glance this incredible bottle is hard to comprehend and understand that it's actually a bottle and has tequila in it. Also the fact that it is the shape of the Baja, which is not where tequila is made, was very confusing. But then I learned the story. A story of three friends together in Cabo who Loved tequila. Silky soft on the nose & palette. Yes it's warm but has no tequila burn. I'm not sure how they get so much oaky, warm flavor in just 4 months of resting. Soon to be tagged additive free I hear. This one is now a TequilaSnobs' favorite!

It’s more complex on the nose than on the palate. I pick up some cooked agave, grass and clean soap (I know that sounds weird but it’s what I get). On the palate it’s very mild with agave although I pick up some alcohol on the side of my tongue. The oak also come through but is not overwhelming. The finish is soft with mild viscosity. I get a slight bitterness. The flavor doesn’t stay long. The biggest problem here is the price. I truly appreciated receiving it as a gift and enjoy drinking it, but I won’t buy more when I finish the bottle.

Great nose with a touch of wood notes with stronger cooked agave. Palette tasted of spices, pepper, bit of floral notes. The finish was delightful, this is what great tequila tastes like.
