Very solid reposado. More wood than I would like in this class but worth trying.

Nose: agave / sweetness / flowers /pear / berries / orange blossom Taste: cooked agave / pepper/ oak / earth / vanilla/ pineapple / pear / orange / honey /wood Finish: very clean quick finish / some bitter notes / fruit / floral Just like a Jaguar this expression leaps on you with aromas and tastes that let it taste well above its price point. Good value, yes….but this is more terrific juice coming out of NOM 1414 / Sergio Cruz.

I remember the day I first tasted this repo. I was visiting a liquor store in Texas and the owner asked if I wanted to taste it. Even out of a little plastic cup I knew right away this was one for me. I bought the bottle and here are my findings. The nose is bright and forward with cooked agave, vanilla and caramel. Some fruits were also discernible. On the palate we have a nice sweet presence of agave. Barrel influences bring vanilla and cinnamon and caramel. Other tastes I get are honey and baking spices. A very nice reposado that goes down easy and disappears too quickly.

Really nice reposado. It’s delicious. Packed with cooked agave sweetness, butterscotch, and cinnamon. A little bit one-dimensional, but that dimension is very well-done.

Nose - bananas foster. Deep, abiding oak. Palate - caramel, vanilla, bananas continue. Coffee, rich milk chocolate, cooked pear. One of the richest reposados I’ve ever had. Finish - eternal. Velvety smooth and luxurious. Puts many añejo tequilas at much higher price points to shame with its richness.

The nose is somewhat disappointing. Very light. Gotta put your nostrils deep into the glass to get a light whiff of cooled agave and hint of oak barrel. It was a new bottle and I let it set for about 30 minutes before tasting, but there’s a good chance it opens up a bit by the next sip. The taste is actually quite nice. Smooth, spicy, sweet, oaky. It’s a bit sweeter than I expected, but in a pleasant, not over powering way. The finish is solid and the flavor lingers on the back of the tongue. 60 is a decent price point for this repo. I would definitely keep this on hand in my bar.

Agave on the nose seems fresh. Taste is smooth and complex with sweet and earthy notes. Subtle burn and long finish. Great flavor and it calls for another taste. Quickly enjoyed.

This is one of my favorites. Aroma is caramel butter agave and vanilla toasted oak. On the palate- agave with a very nice heat like baking spices - light vanilla caramel with savory wetness rain flavored fruit goodness. The oakiness remains which begins the amazing finish. Finish is very nice- silkiness agave with light pepper and barrel spice that I consider a medium finish. There are more complexities with the finish now after a few weeks. The new complexity brings out an oakiness almond with hints of cocoa…amazing.

Nose: cooked agave, light oak, hints of vanilla, get a zesty flavor as well hints of acidic fruits. Palate:Agave, oak, lime zest, vanilla, Finish: Def a great bottle wouldn’t be a go to bottle to purchase but I would entertain it once in awhile. Smooth no alcohol burn, the hints of oak and acidic flavors linger around a little.
