NOM 1477 Raygoza artesanal Origen blanco, Mexican 40% abv. version, lote: LPH6441019 , bottled on 03-01-2023, tasted on 7-12-24. The other Raygoza artesanal from NOM 1649 doesn’t state the word Origen.
Aroma: at first right after pouring it is very earthy, dusty, old wet decomposing wood and minty, almost moldy. After letting it sit for 30 minutes and oxygenate the above mentioned aromas soften and become more pleasant, cooked agave, wet earth, light acidity, wet wood, inside of an old wet wooden closet.
Palate: confirms aromas perceived, light totally fermented pu-er tea, hint of mushroom, still quite earthy. Ends with a minty freshness both on my palate and retronasal.
Finish is medium to long, cooked agave with earthy and dusty sensation, fermented pu-er tea, with light mushroom aromas persist, quite unique!

NOM1649, Mexican 40% abv. versión, lote: LTDCB120124, bottled on 26-01-2024, tasted on 6-10-24.
I tasted this tequila together with Los Tres Toños plata artesanal and Arriesgado blanco artesanal, the Raygoza artesanal is less sour, doesn’t have smoke nor ash sensation and is slightly sweeter and more acidic.
Aromas: cooked agave with a hint of sweetness, light acidity, hint of sourness, light earth, after 20 minutes in the glass the agave note becomes slightly sweeter. Light green vegetal notes.
Palate: confirms aromas perceived, slightly more sour on the palate, ends slightly astringent. Hint of citrus.
Finish is medium to medium long, light cooked agave, light acidity, light green vegetal notes with light earthiness and a hint of sourness persists.
