This is a double barreled Añejo from NOM 1610, not 1443. Additive free, according to the rep. Super unique, spends 15 months in new toasted American oak with no char, followed by 3 months in french oak syrah barrels from Caza Madero, one of the oldest wineries in Mexico. The syrah barrel finish adds some unique darker, almost meatier tones that I haven't tasted before. Smooth, balanced fruit-forward at the front of the palette. Special sipper.
