This Siempre profile is leaning towards whiskey drinkers with a barrel forward influence. Prominent notes are crisp apple, caramel, fruity nuances, baking spices (light), pie and an acidic cider finish. Love what Siempre is doing with their Rebel cask program

I love what Siempre is doing here. Take Supremo blanco which is already tahona crushed and fermented with fibers to deliver a punch of flavor, and age it in a variety of barrels to produce unique Reposados. The Supremo is earthy and briney to begin with, so the Reposados take that on in a way that’s fairly different from most. This one delivers an earthy, herbal, agave, oaky experience.

Let’s give recognition to Siempre for experimenting with new flavor profiles. All of the new products are far better than the base offerings. If whiskey overtones are not your profile, I recommend you try the new supremo blanco and skip the rest because they are variations on a theme. This has plenty of agave and oak which was enjoyable. This does not have the smokiness which I think more people will find appealing. A “hat tip” to Siempre for taking a chance on an underrepresented market of tequila lovers.
