This is a well-made tequila, but it’s not complex. That’s not a bad thing, it’s just an observation. I usually look for some type of unique personality in a tequila, but this one is pretty straightforward and safe. Good for a group of drinkers at various experience levels.

Nose: Jackfruit, minerals and trace barrel notes. You need to give this gently rested Repo a little time to coax out the aromas. Fruity agave, herbs, white pepper, and a tropical fruit/vanilla note emerge with time. A touch of dandelion? Flavor: This delivers clean sweet agave with a pepper backbone. A pleasing mouthfeel. As it opens up, some playful baking spices and subtle vanilla round out the tasting. Finishes with a tiny amargo note. A respectable repo that won’t break the bank.

Aroma: Lots of Sweet Agave, Vanilla is the standout from the barreling. Caramel and Oak are also very present in this young Reposado. There's a little Cinnamon/Baking Spices on the nose. Citrus and a Floral note give their influences as well. And you get a little Minerality coming through. Taste: Sweet Agave and Spicy Black Pepper are thrown at your Tongue. It takes a minute for that flavor to disapate before you can taste the nuances from the barrel. The Vanilla and Caramel bring a sense of balance after all the Pepper flavors. Oak is present, slightly. After letting it sit in the glass for 10-15 minutes and your own tastes come around, the sweet Citrus and Floral notes bring a balance to this pour. TMM 85

Light aroma - I pick up caramel and oak for the most part with a touch of agave. I agree that this tequila lacks the complexity some others have but this is wildly clean, silky smooth, and I’m really enjoying it. Caramel, agave, touch of vanilla and black pepper on the palette. Will definitely buy again.

Aged 3 months in bourbon oak. Clean agave notes. Mild, silky taste. Great juice under $50. Love it in Palomas.
