I had the misfortune of losing a bottle to the Transportation Gods, so I had to move mountains to find another one of these limited release bottles. I am so glad I did. A cool evening, gentle breeze, sitting outside, after dinner, this warmed me up perfectly. It is a delicious blend that I hope the shipping company slurped off the ground :) As a married man, I know how wise it is to give my spouse the upper hand, so I give an ever so slight edge to the 42S Joven, who 'nosed' it out at the 'finish'. If you can find either expression, buy it.

Very nice. Opened and tasted with John and Christine in celebration of his remission. A nice high proof Joven, this purposeful blend should be right in the wheelhouse of anyone that loves to smell and taste additive free products. Dsrk copper tones usually portend bad news for a Joven or Reposado but in this case it demonstrates the flexibility of the category.

Nose: Dried stone fruit (apricot and white peach), raisin sweetness, agave, clove, cardamom, oak, and melted butter Flavor: cooked agave, black pepper, stone fruit, light saltiness, barrel flavors, clove, and lots of big dark chocolate Finish: is long, the raisin sweetness starts it and more chocolate appears and it ends with the floral spice of white pepper This will be a good food tequila. I would use it with my Pork Medallions with Tequila Peach Sauce to cook with and pair to and served with my Grilled Apricots with a cinnamon ricotta sauce

Slightly peppery on the front end with a slight edge on the alcohol notes compared to the 42S, with butter, clove, citrus, black pepper and minerality. A classic original and extremely unique tequila due to the unanticipated elevated furfural level of the Suave XA. Creating this one of a kind Joven blend between Scarlet, Grover and Suave is a treasure and a proud treasure in our tequila collection. Thanks TMM !

Congrats Grover! It opens up really nice, high proof keeps the agave showcasing through the barreling. Great warm finish!

This is downright delicious. nose: raisin, holiday baking spices, brown sugar, oatmeal cookies, chocolate. great mouthfeel. the extra proof is welcomed and offers a bump in heat I enjoy. I think it needs the extra abv. Not all is lost for the agave, tasting ripe agave (albeit a focused search), ripe fruit sweetness finish with a hint of cocoa bitterness. It’s rich yet a brightness still there. I don’t think I’d say complex but it’s not singular like overly artificial XA’s leave you with. could be a fantastic after dinner drink or a celebration. what was this XA like before it was cut with blanco to make the joven. ????
