The perfect budget friendly repo. This gem instantly made it to my top repos under 40 bucks. It's actually under 30. From the folks at Furthur, Sergio Cruz at NOM 1414 nailed it. Bonus points for price point.

Nice agave on the nose. Not a complex repo but very easy to sip. No heat, very enjoyable. Another nice tequila out of 1414. Bonus points for price. Update: I enjoy this one. It’s really easy to drink and a joy to sip.

The aroma begins with familiar notes of oak, cherry, and cooked molasses, accompanied by a prominent yet not overpowering presence of ethyl. With nuances of caramel, rainy earth, an alcohol tone, and a hint of wet cement. The palate is enveloped in flavors of oak, reminiscent of cherry coke and bourbon, complemented by the comforting essence of cooked agave and delectable honey. Barrel spice and a faint hint of brine add depth to the experience, creating a surprising yet warranted salivation of the palate. As the tasting fades, lingering notes of cherry, oak, spice, and light honey are accompanied by an earthy freshness and the subtle presence of bourbon. Flavors gradually exit center stage, leaving behind a pleasant minerality that lingers on the palate.

This definitely reflects the aging in whiskey barrels. If that is not your favorite profile, just move on. I appreciate the easy drinkability that comes from a bit of aging in oak. It does have some cooked agave and pepper with the oak also present. This gets extra points for value. I congratulate them for producing a repo that many people can enjoy. I prefer the Gran Dovejo repo from the same distillery which shares some similarities but has a greater range of flavors and depth. It is also more expensive and harder to find but I recommend you look for it and give it a try also.

Definitely a whiskey and barrel spice presence. For $32, this is a slamming deal!

Solid, affordable ($37 @ Ferment and Still) reposado. Extra points for affordability. Aroma: Subtle. Cooked agave, tangy plumb citrus, light oak, and black pepper in the initial nose. A bit of carmel and cinnamon spice in the back end. Taste: Initial punch of black pepper that is quickly overtaken by cooked agave and cinnamon. The oak appears and then disappears. Light on the palate, almost no heat. Quite pleasant. Finish: Long with a sweet cinnamon warmth that rides atop of the cooked agave.

Very enjoyable sipper! Aromas of agave, oak, caramel, citrus & spice. Creamy, buttery agave & caramel flavors. Zero heat, pepper or alcohol burn on this super smooth finish. Definitely bonus point on value. I’m so glad you don’t have to spend $50 to get a reposado like this one.

Such a great value reposado. Packed with really good in your face flavor that’s easily approachable. Just the right amount of oak flavors and tons of notes of mint and bell pepper. Excellent priced reposado that can be used for an everyday supper
