Nose: earth / minerals / olive / hint of agave / hint of green apple / orange peel / lemongrass/ hint of lavender/ alcohol Taste: sweet agave cooked / cinnamon/ vanilla/ peppermint / hint of apple and fruit / lime & orange / other citrus / licorice/ peppermint/ hint of cream soda Finish: very light viscous mouthfeel/ sweet agave-licorice tastes are in some level of balance with the cinnamon-peppermint notes / lingering sweetness that is refreshing and ends on a minty flavor. This blanco HP is quite tasty, though the nose is weak. At 45% abv, this HP hides the alcohol very well behind a huge sweetness that is agave snd licorice flavors. The overall taste is good and thoroughly enjoyable especially if you like a sweet/cinnamon pepper profile. Nice job El Mexicano!

Nose is full of agave followed by minerals and black pepper. I find it earthy with a hint of grass. Taste is peppery and salty. Strong alcohol which obfuscates the flavors. This is okay and is a value HP but there are better options.

A good amount of minerality, pepper some citrus. It's a solid choice.

Mineral grassy nose. Agave, pepper, mineral, brine, and earthy taste. It’s definitely hotter than the regular Blanco but doesn’t come across as rounded to me.

Nose: Green agave and a round ripe agave notes. A gentle spritz of minerals. Floral with a warm sweet musky scent - reminds me of Easter egg jelly bean candies. This aroma doesn’t read higher proof. Flavor: Pepper heat and a trace bitter note. Floral, fruity and some nutty nuances. Natural sweetness and a viscosity that coats the tongue nicely. A pleasant sip - but no wow factor for me.

Mexican 45% abv. versión, lote: MEX45300822, bottled on 12-12-2022, tasted on 8-24-24. Aroma: light raw agave, hint of cooked agave, light acidity, minerality, light green vegetal notes, light earthiness. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, hint of pepper spiciness, good sweet and sour balance. Ends slightly sweet. Hint of sourness. Finish is medium to medium long, light raw agave, hint of cooked agave, hint of sweetness, hint of green vegetal note with hint of earthiness persists.

I get a bit of Agave cooked and raw but a VERY full and deep Grapefruit on the nose as well as some grass and black pepper. on the lighter end as far as the body goes. On the palate and finish, I am getting salty brinyness, black pepper and cooked agave, and a tad bit of minerality. This was by no means bad, but it didn't blow me away either. When it comes to El Mexicano, I think I'm slightly more partial to the aged expressions.

This is almost the perfect classic old school tequila. Straight forward agave anise vegetal and sweet roasted agave black pepper white pepper and orange floral I don’t get minerality. It has what seems like and never ending complexity. it can pair with ceviche or churros. It’s Long finish is like it drops the mic!

Aroma: floral, agave, pepper Taste, bold agave sweetness, followed by pepper. Finishes with sweet baking spices A little burn but overall very drinkable for a high proof.

Not much for the nose (could be my allergies messing me up). A hint of fresh cut grass and mild agave fragrance. But WOW to the flavor. Pure and clean blanco tequila. Perfect agave juice with some pepper tones. Great value and clean juice.
