It’s awesome to know that this brand is made by a black female and confirmed additive free. This tequila has a nose of cooked agave, citrus like lemon, minerality, licorice. This tequila feels light on the tongue with cooked agave on the front that flows into a light citrus notes, some anise, herbal and white pepper that starts on your tongue for a long finish.

Mild agave and brine on the nose.  No additives detected on pallette. Sweet agave on the palate with a good oily mouth feel. Lingering spicy green pepper, white pepper, and spearmint finish.  I grade this an A- / B+, definitely sipworthy.

Bottle: L12B, 7/7/2022 Appearance: Clear Nose: Cooked and raw agave, lemon, citrus, papaya, tropical fruit, black tea, yeast/dough, parsley, mint, basil, herbal, minerality, pine, cedar, black and white pepper, alcohol, brine/salinity, mustiness, funkiness, licorice, anise, and wet cardboard…pungent and aromatic, in a good way Palate: Cooked and raw agave, lemon, bell pepper, asparagus, vegetal, basil, mint, peppermint, herbal, pine, mint, metallic, anise, minerality, brine/salinity, yeast/dough, alcohol, black tea, orange peel, citrus, cedar, black and white pepper, mustiness, funkiness, and wet cardboard…more herbal and vegetal than the nose Finish: Lemon, mustiness, and funkiness…short and thin, but pretty darn enjoyable Overall: This has a funkiness that, to me, is very similar to funkiness I get (and enjoy) from La Cofradia tequilas. Additionally, sampled side-by-side with the new NOM 1584 Pasote blanco, they could almost be carbon copies of one another. The only real difference I can find between the two is that the nose and palate on TCapri is slightly stronger and funkier. I could see myself grabbing this again, especially if Total Wine has coupons.
